Well, Bethesda just showed us how porting a game should be handled. Of course people just try to turn this into an inferiority test. Just like they did with EA titles.
You should be comparing EA to Bethesda this time around, not PlayStation 3 to Xbox 360. Both games look pretty close, you cant really prove one stronger than other. This is a software based comparison in many ways.
So the real comparison here should be about the developers, not systems. The only ef...
Anyone actually believe that? Year 2015: "We really really screwed with Duke Nukem Forever this time!" Community: "Well, no sheet!" :)
How about I pay when the time is right, and get a PS3, without dropping my Xbox 360? Never good to be limited by a single gaming system around these days.
Well the thing is, it is nothing like supporting a team. I can get a PS3 anytime when available, and when I do which one will I have to support? PS3? 360? It's just mere stupid. Only thing you said right is that fact that we are "gamers".
Now you can start arguing which side is doing the right. Being fanatical about a system? Or being a gamer, trying to be objective and sensible. It's not like I give a damn to bubbles but in a community, a reputation system is genera...
Seriously, it's not good for people who has just a bit a symphaty for PS3. We have been hearing this talk here and there since 2005. PlayStation 3 is an awesome piece of hardware yet executives like Ken Kutaragi and Phil Harrison just kept talking in a way that people could easily make fun of them. Now it's like all Sony executives are trying to do that. Irritating.
I didn't realize, when did that happen? Hey, something that doesn't exist cannot be screwed, so it's something beyond that Lol. Besides it's not like everyone will like a standart FPS for Duke's charm (well maybe some could like it for Duke alone lol) around these days so they really need to try since the bar is set pretty high in this generation.
Let's hope they will do something nice with Duke Nukem, that will live up to the game's name. I'd enjoy a multiplayer stadium battle...
Good score, great game, stupid comments. Game just scored great, it scored great before too, suck it up you all! That simply means: "IT IS A GREAT GAME THAT CAN BE ENJOYED ON ANY SYSTEM!" (unless you have a low-end PC).
This is really turning into an elementary class here in n4g.com except for some people, who constantly try to push some sense into other fanboy's minds. Seriously. PlayStation 3 scored better, amazing! so Bethesda isn't like EA! they made it worth, th...
Sometimes I just look at the person's name who posts the article, and I guess what article could be all about. Then these people with two or three bubbles (thanks to their fanboyism) start a flame war below.
Truly they hand-pick these articles, here there and present them as if they are from bible and argue over them. Really nice and for god's sake if these people try to be objective about next-gen systems once we will celebrate that day all together.
Seriously g...
Xbox 360 is obviously losing huh? Another exclusive just announced to be coming to 360, right few days before the PS3 European launch. If that's losing, then there shouldn't be a problem being the loser in console wars.
Seriously guys, we live on planet Earth, where are you from?
Yeah, also wanna compare it to VHS and DVD rentals to see the bitter truth? DVD is still the preferred format, this will change within time. But not right now, besides you are talking about a local Blockbuster store, not a nation-wide statistics.
It's truly too early to give away the winner prize to either one of the disc-formats.
That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Xbox 360 for beta testing to build a better PS3 version? Come on dude, we live on planet Earth! :)
So they can't profit at all from their productions? They'd say "no thanks". PlayStation 3 programming is not easy, you spend more time, you spend more money, yet install base is small right now so it's most likely that profits will not be high right now. Maybe in a year or two it will be balanced and will have a charm for developers.
Mistwalker and Square Enix are not like EA. They just do not cast whatever they have out and in front of gamers. They work hard, plan ve...
The game has alot more to offer. If you just keep up with Frankie, you know that there is alot more than they have shown so far. Like he mentioned interactive environment, plants moving when enemies would walk past them, casting soft-shadows, etc. like Crysis. Has anyone seen those yet? Nope, just Frankie told us, and Halo 3 will look eventually alot better than what we have seen about it yet. Well generally I am talking about the Campaign mode, I'll not be surprised if Multiplayer doesnt loo...
No thanks, Sony. Not this time. I want to believe in my eyes and ears instead of forecasts this time around. Sony has forecasted many things, like: "Next-gen will not start until PS3 is there".
So, I'll just wait and see with my own eyes if PlayStation 3 will actually do that, I don't believe Sony, but I still think PlayStation 3 has some good potential. Time will tell the results, not Sony afterall.
This is Capcom, it is a company seeking profit in products they sell. Remember what happened before Resident Evil 4 was released? Deja vu anyone? When you put a next-gen effort, you definitely want it to worth, so Capcom came to the decision that they will sell enough copies over multi-platforming, instead of PS3 exclusivity. It's just normal.
Not a game I care about much right now, but afterall it's true that PlayStation 3 lost some good exclusive titles here and there, and D...
When did this post turn into a car showcase? Lol, anyways, Howard Stinger just referred to "luxury" when he compared PS3 to a Mercedes I guess. Let's give credit where it's due, PS3 looks like a luxury device with it's price tag, shiny surface and next-gen potential under the hood. :) But will not fail.
This is a racing game, jeez, there are ads everywhere in in real life, filter them if you can. Like someone up there said, there wouldn't be a problem with racing and sports games.
There would be a problem if they'd start sticking a Coke ad on Mitchell's back in Ghost Recon series, or imagine some odd Tofu-add on Solid Snake's shoulder. That'd be odd.
Every good game is most likely to have a sequel. It's how gaming industry works around these days, instead of starting new good titles they make sequels (of course Motorstorm is an original new title, I am saying this one for the rest). It's risk free since the pervious games are hit titles. Well as for gamers, we can't complain either, it's always nice to see our favorite games continue with some improvements.
Oh god, I love GRAW2 by the way, Single-player is far better, big-i...
I am a 360 owner, I love my console, but why can't we just give time to PlayStation 3? Let's be honest, 360 had some good launch titles, but I only enjoyed Kameo and PGR3 at the beginning, Quake 4 and rest of that stuff wasn't good.
We can't say that PS3 is not optimized for gaming, it just doesn't have enough good games. Yes some multi-platform games look better on Xbox 360 and maybe it will remain that way due to complicated programming on PS3 but come on now, is the differe...
Yeah and those signatures will pay Capcom? I don't think so. What a worthless effort, who gives a damn if your favorite game is multi-platform? I wouldn't give a damn Halo 3 being on PS3, God of War 3 being on Xbox 360 (which are impossible). I'd just play my game on the system I feel the most comfortable. That's what I exactly did in last-generation, and most definitely the way I'm headed in this generation.
Oh yeah maybe I should wear some nerd glasses, spend 24/7 in front of...
