6 hours for a single player adventure game is simply too short.

I still am going to get HS though because I am addicted to the gameplay. I played the demo roughly 150 times. There isn't a game out there like this one. The combat system is incredible and IMHO this game is a solid 9 / AAA title even though it's very short.

They give it a 8 out of 10 and say the only negative is no single player? Then why not score it higher since everyone knows going in it's multiplayer only. I hope the bad is just Gamespot having a 360 about to go belly up on them and this isn't really the game having trouble itself.

There are just too many games coming out. The ones you listed are mostly exclusives. What about the ton of crossplatform titles that have a chance of lighting the wallet as well? I have roughly 24 titles on my list between now and 2008.
I am even considering picking up a Wii for Metroid and Mario Galaxy.

Depending on difficulty Gears of War is a short game. On insane it could take 10 to never but on easy you could probably run through it in 5 or 6 hours. I went with 6 hours because most people are casual gamers and usually play on casual.
