MS went casual
Nintendo went Hardcore
Who would have ever predicted that?
Sony is up next!
for their new handheld.
I don't like handhelds and I don't care for the Wii, even though I own one, but this is going to be a huge selling point for their new handheld!
My kids have DS and PSP's, and like I said I don't care for them, but this is very tempting. This coming from a guy that has been shopping for a 3D display for gaming that uses glasses for viewing, and I still plan on getting a 3D display without question.
I never thoug...
it's not too hard to find actors there.
wheel support!
The last two racing games released Blur and Split Second didn't.
Shift had wheel support by it as made by a different developer. I just hope Criterion implements it as well.
Telekinetic.
And for good reason. They started off meh with COD DLC then it started to heat up a little with their tride and true fanchise titles BUT then it just fell off a cliff and ended up reminded me of Nintendo's 08 conference. Boring, forced anticipation, scripted, over acting, casual, boring, casual, tedious, casual, mind numbing and beyond dissapointing but most of all extremely frustrating. Oh and did I mention boring?
Where was PGR5, some new IP's with footage, Rare &...
Forza was just a steering game and it didn't even look like the guy was actually playing it. If he was that was some serious lag. We have to wait and see how Fable is utilized especially coming from the creator of Milo. Where was Milo btw? Wasn't that the tempest style music game (again with serious lag) or am I confusing it with something else? Also isn't it multiplatform that will work with Move as well? Did you actually wach the E3 coverage?
The new Socom is ...
And us gamer purchase gaming console for a lot of features that are not gaming related! /s
The Forza demo wasn't real nor was it a hard core game. It was only a steering game with super cars vs F cars. If you actually played Forza you would know what that means. There was no gas or brake just steering. Yeah hardcore racing sim fans don't want to gas, brake, apex, they just want to steer and look at their cars with head and hand movements.
Enough ...
Okay then what do you consider Kinect?
As far as your whole 3D when maybe 2% of people are going to have a 3D tv? This is the same argument people use to make about Hi Def displays and 5.1 sound in general. The only difference is 3D is going to come on a lot hotter and heavier than Hi Def displays or BluRay ever did.
Every electronics manufacturer (Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Pioneer, Mitsubishi, Sharp, LG, etc..) is jumping on the 3D bandwagon and bringing...
Move works with most games so I'm sure we will hear a lot of "this game will also have Move support".
Kinect wont. That's not only how Move will compete but will without question be the more viable option. That and most likely it will be signifcantly cheaper. Sony is catering to all gamers with their motion controller.
Google Jonah Falcon and Jordan Lund and you will see why they are impressed. Jordan is a decent guy but he has a serious hard on for Sony.
Jonah on the other hand is one of the most vicious haters of anything Sony you will ever run into. Before MS got into gaming he was on a Sega bandwagon and now MS. You wont believe the lengths this guy goes to to pump up anything MS and belittle anything positive about Sony.
Take what ever comes from his site with a hu...
that says it all! Every time I turn on my 360 you are on XBL playing your games.
You sound as digusted as I am.
It's almost like what we saw today wasn't real. Like a joke or something. My wife knows I love gaming but she can't believe how seriously, I guess dejected is the best way to describe it, that I am right now. Not in a childish way but I really do enjoy gaming. I have been gaming for over 30 years. I split my gaming time pretty evenl...
Damn OOG that is EXACTLY what was going through my mind when Turn 10 took the stage! I was like finally we are getting off this Kinect crap and Turn 10 is going to debut Project Gotham 5! When they showed Forza game for Kinect with no gas or brake I thought I wass going to throw one of my 360 units through the screen. I was seriously like WTF?!
I really should take a step back because everytime I think about their press conference I get so disgusted and disappointed. I am g...
E3 Analysis: Microsoft's Predictable Press Conference
I would have agreed.
"the problem is gone for good"
I am one of those suckers that bought each new revision hoping the problem was resolved and I was proven wrong nearly every time. I'm not doubting that maybe MS did finally elimtinate this issue but just coming out and stating it as a stone cold fact is a bit of a stretch.
Slightly off topic but
I recently picked up the MW2 bundle edition (got it so cheap I could pass it up $200 brand new) Jasper unit ...
MS has lied this entire generation about their hardware issues to a sleezy completely dishonest level. I have had nearly every version of their 360 revision die on me including the new Jasper. Before people start claiming I am troll or lying check my post history and see if I respond to failure rates of the 360's hardware on past articles.
Now I will say that problems are lesser with each new revision so I agree with you Alpha-Male that it's probably now just to acc...
Taking into consideration it was demo'd on the PS3 with 24 on stage? I would say that's a no. I am pretty positive EA's Peter Moore said the PS3 will be the lead platform for most of their games from here on out. Since all of EA's demos are being played on stage by PS3 controllers I ould say that probably isn't BS.
The problem MS is going to have with this unit is it's price point. It is already listed on a couple sites for $149 without a 360 unit. Which means there might be bundles at around $299. Do you really think people are going to storm to Kinect when it's so similar to what the Wii does, and the Wii already has a HUGE established library of games, for a higher price?
Come on man.
I am not a Nintendo fan "any more" (use to be hardcore complete Nintendo fanboy when I was younger) but without question that was the best E3 showing since Nintendo released the Wii. No way, no how, can you make statements like that without sounding foolish when we have yet to see what this 3D technology is "actually" capable of.
There are tons of different types of 3D technology or were you not actually paying attention to the history...
