Reason I ask is you ended your response with the only thing the 911 S has over the G27 is the ability to use it on the XBox 360. I have a G27 and owned a G25 2 years back. The 911 S offers a lot more then just the ability to use it on your 360. It offers on the fly adjustability so you don't have to worry whether or not the developer gave you enough options to use you wheel to it's fullest.

the buttons are back lit and color cordinated for each console. It's an amazing product and well worth the money if you are really into racing. Especially if you are into racing across all platforms (360, PS3 and a PC rig). You can take calibration to a whole other level on the PC with this wheel.

All I know is insidesimracing loves what they have seen and played of GT5 thus far. IMO they are the site you should looks towards for video game racing opinions. They are overly critical and show zero favoritism when giving their opinions on racing games and the devices to play them on.
They are even blown away by the 3D aspect of GT5 and they prefer it to 3 panel displays. Anyone that is a hardcore sim racing fan will tell you that in itself is HUGE! I just got done rewat...

Either a Madcatz TE or a Hori SE EX or SA (depending on which console you have) EX is for XBox 360 & SA for PS3.
The Hori SE EX has Seimitsu parts and the SA uses Sanwa Denshi parts.
Overall most SF fans prefer Madcatz because they are easy to mod and come with Sanwa Denshi Joysticks and buttons.
The Hori sticks (except the expensive Vewlix $299) are glued and it makes modding a lot harder if you wanted to make any changes.

I have one of my TE's modded with a Seimitsu 32-01 and 30mm buttons. I love it for charge characters but I have trouble pulling off ultra's with motion characters while using that joystick. I use to be able to do it at will but lately I can't do one to save my life. Guess I am just in a rut. I am going to keep at it till I get both down to a science.
Thinking about adding the Hori Vewlix stick to my collection next.
