i know you're a smart guy zhuk, but the stuff you says sometimes sounds so funny that i actually smile at it sometimes. because while other trolls just go "zomg, ps3 suxxors" you actually troll while sounding educated. kudos to you. haha
no, if you have linux installed on your ps3, it can only run using the cell for all processing. people are trying to find a way to use the rsx too, essentially doubling the processing power when using linux because then the cell can dedicate itself to computations while the rsx focuses on the graphical aspect of things.
anyways, no one's actually managed to crack the ps3 os yet, and i doubt they will. after all, 1 spu is dedicated for OS integrity, making it that much harder ...
i laughed really hard at the boxing one. and the line, "no one's face should smell like balls"
5 bucks says they're delaying their next gen graphics card because nvidia says they're about to introduce their g100 series architecture..
it makes for a more immersive story telling experience..
its realistic that they're aiming for holiday 08, but i wouldn't be surprised to santa monica push it back to march (a la the other GOW releases) for that extra layer of polish we're all expecting from GOW.
either way, it'll be epic in all manners of the word. the story, as we all know, will be crazy, and since its santa monica we're talking about, the technical aspect of the game will be class as well. i'm interested to see what kind of new gameplay they'll put into it. som...
i remember reading that the devs wanted to have ffxiii have the same impact that ffvii had. ffvii mainstreamed rpgs with its high production values and revamped battle system, and i'm guessing that ffxiii will have proportionally the same production values as well as that same impact with the battle system.
especially since the devs are trying to recreate the freeflowing fighting seen in advent children. if they manage to pull it off, which i wouldn't be surprised at because ...
it doesn't need it.. there's enough packed in to make it enjoyable through at least 3 playthroughs. DLC is just another way of devs saying, we didn't really make the game what we wanted to make it, so we're adding it on for extra $$$.
are you seriously like a 7 year old who's hobby is blowing with the wind? my god, no one cares about your personal dilemma. grow up.
they went to a 5 point rating instead of keeping their 10 scale? wtf...
there are tradeoffs to the slim and non slim version.. like easy of piracy.. haha, but its good to see it selling. i might buy one when crisis core comes out.
hilarious, considering its "demographic."
considering that Uncharted is one of the best titles of the year. i have no doubt that it'll eventually sell 1 million, but it is an incredible oddity that the ps3's attach rate is so low.
it easily trumps almost every other title released this year in terms of enjoyment and technology
i enjoyed the first one a lot. dunno if i'll pick this one up though. if i do, thank the lord i have a 60gb..
thats what i thought too. why close chicago (arguably their best internal studio) and open a new one...
i'm surprised his system could run the 3000 barrel drop without any slowdown..
i didn't even know there was a Blur.. haha. last one i heard of was the one that had the skiiing in it, which was disappointing.
the last great SSX game IMO was SSX3. that game was epic!! but yeah, can't complain if they're going to make a new next gen ssx.. those games were so over the top and fun.
its actually a semi respectable list. from yahoo none the less.. haha
its not uncommon for first generation games to be put out on last gen media. there was an article about this a long time ago that i don't care to dig up.
like at the beginning of the ps2 life cycle, games were still coming out on cd, but eventually they had to switch to dvds because of space limitation.
the same trend is happening now too, because games are being developed across multiple platforms, the size will roughly be the same. hence why ps3 exclusive gam...
this is the update that boosts performance like 20 some odd percent right? woot. right on m$
