Ok Aliens, fine...you are slowly re-peaking my interest. If this AI is as dynamic as you claim it would make all the difference...we'll see.
I would be sold with some HMD compatibility.
Yeah, it's a shame single player isn't happening for this one as I would buy it in a heartbeat. These screens look pretty damn fine though. Might be persuaded if the rest measures up.
Stay classy EA!
They are releasing 'sequels' as you call them, as quickly as ol' Bobby-Joe squirts out kids into the wash bucket behind her trailer park; and these 'sequels' are about as clever and thought out as said kids.
Ah yes! Well played fellow G.N.
Oh my god I can't take it anymore! I really can't. Please hurry up and release some damn hmd's.
Wow this Fuchs character is a total genuis! ‘the biggest deal in VR history’? You dont say. I can see now why this guy is a professor!
Thanks for that breaking piece of news Henry, you tard.
Creed of duty.
Looks neat. I cant stop thinking about HMD's in general and all the cool possibilities.
Man. Ms sure has been shuffling people in and out. I hope finally this is good news for the xbox crowd.
HAHAHA, Of course you may suggest I shut up, but I won't.
If you had actually fleshed out your 1st comment in the first place it wouldn't have sounded so ridiculous and definite, therefore I wouldn't have felt the need to be a dick.
"They have no influence other than owning the brand." This statement comes across as utterly preposterous. Type man, type!
Good one! That's rich....and if FB gave you a banana and told you it was an orange would you then believe that it was indeed an orange?
A company like FB doesn't buyout a company for >>>>2 BILLION<<<< and then not set in motion some influence over their purchase. If not right away then soon. C'mon man, you're smarter than that, right?
After the final dev cycle is finished and the consumer version is released, then w...
Liver and onions. Why the hell are they wasting time implementing all of this extra crap instead of focusing on the broken base issues?! Cheaters, hackers, zombies (sometimes invisible) that run through any and all barriers and spawn on your neck. The shitty god awful collision detection. where does one stop? I know its a alpha but fix this shit first. Jesus.
This is all rather typical. It will all blow over in no time. By next week these silly kids will be all uppity over some other "massive" gaming related issue that has devastated their lives in some horrific fashion. Perhaps some over priced DLC or lower than expected resolution or some other ridiculous bullsh*t that will push their delicate nature over the edge once again.
I do so love all the fanboys calling the kettle black here. It's like flies on sh*t. Class...
I would love to see both Carmack and Abrash jump over to this good looking 'up and comer'...
http://www.trueplayergear.c...
...that would be the creme to top off all of this FB nonsense.
...but Im sure, in an attempt to keep them both around, FB is stuffing lots of dirty dirty money into every orifice.
Although Carmack I could see not being swayed by money as he just...
What are you talking about? This was a great idea. Facebook takes a good solid kick in the nuts from the multitudes of angry people not only pulling out of FB's future consumer base, but also many others cancelling their pre-orders. Wont that make the angry masses happy?...seeing FB falter on their investment and seeing them tread at least a little water in their own tidal wave of BS? Works for me. Focus on other VR avenues other than gaming? It's a given, go ahead, Im not on board an...
I cant agree with you more. Unfortunately money is the "great corrupter".
People have made this deal far too personal with far too much self entitlement which isn't surprising in the least given how so many "gamers" conduct themselves.
Now Palmer can 'buy' himself a woman who will only love his big fat....roll of cash.
For anyone to think that VRs main value lies in gaming is as ignorant a fool as Palmer Luckey. FB scored huge on this thing. They paid pennies for the potential future value of this device and they seem to be the only ones to see the plethora of possible applications and the millions and billions to be made from said applications. Palmer was an idiot; with proper marketing and dev time he could have easily made 2 billion on O.R. as easy as it is for him to take a shit. But then again marketi...
Best comment in this thread my boy. Bubble+
I don't give a crap what FB does with this thing. IMO they aren't foolish enough to turn it into a pop up advert device as (I would like to think) most consumers wouldn't bite.
Apparently they are pounding money into it and if devs keep making great games, I'm sold.
Hurry up already. I am sick of waiting for the viable HMD age to begin!
