I've been saying ^^this^^ for years. But alas the CoD kiddies disagree with me and it is just too much of a burden for my gentle soul to bear.
We HAVE all played this before, so many times. They've just added a "hack" mechanic. Not enough here for me to bother with it.
All the kiddies who want this game to be so much more than it actually is will defend it to the death through their respective system of choice no matter how crappy it is...... and let the disagrees roll......

Keep in mind of the huge 'kiddie' base of this franchise. Highly impressionable, wishy washy, believe anything and everything they read or see as gospel and so on and so forth. Kids.
I havent enjoyed CoD for years, I think it's cut and paste, spoon fed, preteen garbage that has lost its way for the sake of a dollar. Still, I would love to see them actually evolve and innovate this series or at least make some attempt to do so, and maybe I'll return to it.
I really enjoyed the gears games. #2 especially.

...but it's still a total mess. Fixing the absolutely piss poor zombies and abhorrent collision detection, just to name a couple of issues, takes a serious back seat to implementing even more colours of tote bags!

Dont get me wrong, I too, for some reason love a good hiking simulator. It simply irks me that they've frittered away so much of their precious time on introducing pointless and inane shit instead of fixing the core issues, and IMO the serious core issues should take priority. As much as I hate to admit it, I do like a good round or two of video golf. This looks pretty tight.

No doubt! This single screen shot business is driving me nuts, still, I love that they havent blown the game by plastering us with dozens of videos ala Ass-Creed.
Too many vids? Just enough to realize there really isnt much new here. One example is the "Focus" mechanic which we've seen in far too many shooters for the past ten+ years yet they introduce it like it's some novel idea they've created. C'mon, f-ing slo-motion? This crap is so circa 1995. Havent we moved past that shit yet? Clearly not. Might as well add the double jump, regenerating health and explosive red barrels.
