Perhaps you are right. I am most likely expecting too much from "Next Gen" games right out of the gate. I was pretty disappointed they dropped the kinect for this game. It would have sold me on RYSE, but now not so much.

Im not for either console....this game looks great but it also looks like a repetitive, corridor slogging, boring button mashing tech demo that shows absolutely no innovative gameplay what-so-ever. Its the same old last gen shit with new paint. If there is some actual GAMEPLAY INNOVATION here aside from graphics, please do tell, I'd love to be enlightened.

I had that problem once. All I did was open "task manager" and ended/closed all "steam" related apps/trees. Restarted the pc and voila. Problem solved.
This guy's particular process, while I'll bet it does work, seems like a pain in the ass in comparison.
