The fanboys infestation in this site is worst I have seen anywhere. He said nothing to suggest that the PS4 version is superior to the XBOX One. The AC franchise and UBI Soft is typically know for being middle of the road platform wise, with exception to the PC, all their games are optimized to look the same.
I peordered both launch day editions from Amazon. When these consoles run out at retail around the Holidays, I'm going to be rich.
What this means is, after three to four years when PC and tablet technology have rendered PS4 hopelessly obsolete. Some poor dev can spend his precious time optimizing an outdated console to run the same scene as an iPad 8 can but at twice the resolution.
The chances of my PS4 library four years now coming near to half of what my Steam collection is today = zero.
Sony and MS have a lot of work to do.
The ram spec in these consoles isn't different enough to result in any tangible difference in year 1 games. Perhaps 2-4 years later there will be some games that will require he PS4 faster RAM but by then both consoles will be obsolete in term of specs.
What will matter is if third party multiplats have dedicated servers while PS4 multiplats are stuck with peer to peer. Sony need to get on the ball in this regard.
The problem with Uncharted is that Drake turned from a reluctant treasure hunter into merc and pirate slaying badass as soon as the cutscenes end. I hate the disconnect in that regards.
I preordered both the Xbone and the PS4 launch day edition from Amazon. I will keep the one that is worth the least amount of money and eBay the one that is worth the most :D. Maybe I will sell both depending on how much I can get for them LMAO.
I need to take advantage of the supply and demand situation of the nextgen consoles while I still can. Because soon, they'll be as common as a door knob.
This most powerful gaming device will be obsolete in less than 2 years.
I'm not happy about losing the pressure sensitive buttons. They're a great asset in the Madden passing game.
There's stuff about games in this magazine? The only thing I noticed is the ultra hot babe.
Apparently Microsoft learned nothing from Netflix. Going all digital when a sizeable portion of your customer base still prefer physical media is a fiasco.
I played it on the nextgen console when it came out...on my PC. Plus the PS4 can't run Skyrim at 1440p with 60 fps like my PC can.
And then of course there are the lack of mods which bring the experience down even more.
In short, there are games that can be enhanced by nextgen consoles. Skyrim is not one of those. The PC version simply can't be beat.
The tech inside the Kinect is clearly amazing. Too bad it's useless for core games which is the main reseaon why someone would pay $500 for a console.
I can't believe people aren't talking about this. But the main advantage of the Xbox One has over the PS4 is Direct X. The PS 4 might be easier to develop for but when you're making multiplats games Direct X can't be beat.
My greatest respect for this guy stem from the fact that he willingly admit that the Cell was an utter fail. Sony threw a ton of money into this chip thinking that it would be the wave of the future not just in gaming but also the electronics market as well. It totally bombed. Aside from Sony in house development teams, everybody hated it.
At least they did do one thing right with the PS3. Bluray was a total bullseye, it completely dominated the entertainment market.
Generally I ignore tech demos. They are pointless muscle flexing and hype designed to fool the masses.
I can't imagine using remote play with any games that requires precision and timing. The lag must suck. Just think about the lag that will result of playing BF4 with the Vita. Your PS4 must send data to the servers and then beam the corresponding data to your Vita. Lol. Fuck that.
I remember when Steam first came out. Everyone absolutely hated it. Many Counterstrike players vowed to boycott the platform and PC gamers just don't see the point on a digital PC gaming hub. But over time Valve won PC gamers hearts and minds with their with a brilliant business model, reliable service, and amazing value. Now PC gaming and Steam are inseparable.
But that's on the PC. Valve was force to innovate with Steam because of the competition with retail and o...
Cliff B, Microsoft and the publishers can go take a hike. Their DRM logic doesn't make an ounce of sense. If the car industry, the music industry, and the movie industry doesn't have the right to profit from my used goods then what gives them the fucking right?
What make the greedy bastards from the gaming industry so special that they get to tell me what to do with the products that I already legally own?
Nice mouse but the Naga is way better for custom binds. It's the MMO Mouse that does everything.
