Huh? This article isn't about HD-DVD...
Why would they envy Bioshock? Gears is superior in terms of graphics and offer a more well rounded package. After the hype is over and a critical mass reached, Bioshock will take a dive and become a renter while Gears is still selling thanks to it's multiplayer.
Even if this player is $100 it wont' help HD DVD much. The war will be won with content not with cheap players. People buy players to watch movies, not the other way around. Thats what the HD-DVD camp don't get. You can make the players as cheap as you want but nobody is going to buy them unless they can watch the movies they want to watch. With that in mind until the Walmart types can watch hidef Spiderman and Shrek in one player they're staying away.
As a jaded PC gamer, I'm an extremely impressed with this game. While there are PC games like the Battlefield series that offer more scale and depth, there simply isn't anything out there in the console world that come close to what Warhawk can do. The scale of the map and beauty of the deadly skies filled with flak, missles and buzzing jets while the battle rages below is truely a sight unseen.
But what amazes me most is the network performance. Its totally flawless. Despite a...
Not possible with the PS3 because it is not a true 1080p console. Can the PS3 display 1080p? Yes. Can the PS3 handle intense nextgen graphics at 1080p? No. The GPU is too slow and there isn't enough mem. Honestly I doubt there is out there that can achieve this atm.

Its a RPG game. Last I checked games like KOTOR and those crappy jap RPGs like FF didn't have perfect life like animations.
Let me make one thing clear. Without the NFL license you don't have a football game. Period. Nobody give a damn about being John Elway or Jerry Rice when they're playing on some made up team, people buy football game to play as their fav NFL team.
Heavenly Sword probably deserved a 7. If the demo is any indication the game simply lack the shock and awe of a killer action game like God of War. A solid title but nothing ground breaking.
Speaking of not ground breaking...WTF is up with all the Bioshock reviews? No mulitplayer and a single player campaign that quickly fades after a while.
Who did she play on Lost?? I watched all 3 seasons and I don't remenber seeing her ever.
Orly? What about UT3, Rachet and Crank, SoCom and KZ2? And WTF is Ico 3???
While not as bad as the infamous Madden deal with the NFL license, this deal certainly rank up there. The dual format is BAD for the market place and prolonging this absurd war any longer will end up biting both sides in the ass. Since HD-DVD was already on it's deathbed it should've just died and get it over with. But noooo, now we have to go for another year or two with this BS before everyone can watch the same hidef movies. How stupid.
I'm one of the very few people with a ...
How the hell do you direct a game?
If the PS3 is so powerfull then why can't Heavenly Sword and UT3 run at 1080p 60fps? What happened to the "power" of the Cell processor in these games?
Mac gaming? LOL!! The Mac's gamging issue isn't the same as Madden on the Xbox 360 vs PS3. Its more like the Xbox 360 vs Gamecube. The Mac despite it's cost is generations behind the PC in terms of gaming hardware.

There's a top 50 for PS3 games? LOL!! Seriously, I count all the major PS3 release on two hands.
Those screenshots looks awesome, like freaking impossible awesome. My guess is the actual game will be no where near that. More than likely it'll be like Madden, a few cut scenes will have super detailed fully AA renders while the rest of the actual game actually use low res textures and such.
Another knock on GT is the lack of crash physics which is a huge let down considering physics is one of the PS3's strong points.
You hit the nail on the head. Bioshock is probably the most overrated game in recent memory. While I would describe the singleplayer campaign as good, the experience overall begin to fade in the later levels. The respawn booth for one is incredibly cheap and makes no god damn sense in a game that is so story driven. The lack of multiplayer is another let down.
I'm not sure how the hell this game got a 9 when it really should be a 8. All it is a well honed single player game tha...
