I think its pretty obvious why Fallout 3 is FPS/RPG. One word, consoles. If they wanted to they could've easily done a 3D isometric perspective and it would've been great and more faithfull to the franchise, but that isn't Bethesda's forte. They make multiplat sandbox games, and isometric RPGs isn't a good fit for this gen's consoles.
You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Please STFU. A Fallout first person RPG make about as much sense as a God of War third person shooter. If you have any understanding of the Fallout universe and gameplay at all, you'll realise that. Everything about Fallout's gameplay and combat system just scream for an isometric perspective.

Those benchmarks, if you can call them that are totally useless. For one, they're Nvidia's benchmarks. Two, FPS and resolutions/AA isn't listed, and as we all know, thats what it's all about. As much as I'm looking forward to the 280 GTX I find it impossible for one GPU to out perform another in such a manner.
The real question is...is it better than the new ATI GPU?

There are plenty of great Half Life mod that shows the power of PC gaming. But this isn't one of them. In fact, this one sucks. Go download any of the portal mods or total conversions like Insurgency or Eternal Silence.

DD is far and away from being mainstream, very few have the bandwidth to support it and even less have the patience. Disk media like Bluray is the future.
They also get maps from the map making contest, which is of course totally free also. In other words when it comes to content, nothing beat the PC.
The HL2 community on Live is dying, and the PSN community never existed in the first place. It doesn't matter anyways because if you're a real HL 2 fan you'll be playing it on the PC like Valve intended.

I dunno about that. Doom 3 was pretty good too. But Quake Arena was retro gaming back when such a thing doesn't exist, when it was released the critics slamed it for being too simplistic and lacking in features never realizing thats the entire point. This is largely because of Counterstrike craze that was going around back then, Quake Arena deathmatch gameplay just seems old and tired.
Fortunately Quake 3 found new life in the East. The Koreans and Chinese are totally nuts abou...
