I rarely hear any kids on the PS3 CoD 4 or Warhawk. Halo 3 on the other hand is infested with teenagers and preteens. When you consider the fact adults would be more interested in Bluray it makes even more sense.

To be a console gamer is to be exploited pure and simple. PC gamers can create their own maps, which in some cases are better than these so called professional maps, hence why these are free. Oh and they'll be getting free maps generated by the map making contest too. I'm sure those will be coming to the console sometime in the future...for a price.
The PC isn't a MS platform, anymore than it is a Google platform. Its the PC. This is what makes PC gaming great, its open source and isn't owned by anyone, hence you can't get riped off.

Seeing how popular a "dead" game like Quake 3 is in China and Korea, Quake Live will probably take off like a rocket. Thats the crazy thing about PC gaming, its totally world wide. But I doubt Quake is the right game to pair with add support. Its not like gamers are going to see that Mountain Dew add while they're dodging rockets and flying gibs. Advertisers might stay away unless they can get their banners noticed.

Couldn't agree more. Thanks to the moronic fanboy wars, reviews are given more weight than they deserve. If anything a game's worth should be judged by community reviews and buzz instead of add supported and so called "professional" reviews.
Giving every gamer the ability to freely speak and communicate verbally online is a horrible idea. This is common knowledge to virtually every PC gamer since the early days of Counterstrike.
