Have you guys even seen the Crytech 2 console tech demo? It was very ho-hum since it's missing the main selling point of the Crytech engine. Uber high res textures. Thats about it. Its not the water effects, it's not about cutting down trees, and it's not about the vast open world, and it's not about the lighting. None of those things matters without the textures to make them pop.

Its about time the 360 catch up to what the PC is doing all these years with Steam and D2D. Thats why I buy the digital version of Socom and GTP, and Warhawk. Whenever I don't have to insert a disk into the unit I find myself playing those games more. Sony should get smart and do the same, with a few notable exceptions like MGS4 for example :)

There is nothing wrong with a device like this as long as it is integrated and focused part of the consoler's design. The problem is most...correction...ALL of the 360's games were designed to play with the gamepad. At best this will end up being like PSeye. A cool device that nobody will buy and is useless 99% of the time.

Just WTF are you talking about? No one here cares about PC DRM, cost ratio or exclusives. The discussion at hand is which version of Crysis 2 multiplat on the console will be "best" in presence of the PC version. This is like two guys in a Civic and Corolla racing against each other while the rich dude in a Porsche blow pass them both.
Simply absurd. A ton of console fanbois foaming at the mouth over which version will be good enough to stand behind the PC's. Have anyone played Farcry 2 on the PC and 360? How about CoD 4 on both the PC and the PS3? Or Fallout 3 PC and the 360? What about Assassin Creed on the PS3 and the PC? Well I have.

You nobody give a damn if any other phone is better for movies, have a better display, better for emails/texing or even have a higher pixel camera. The strength of the iphone is in it's apps store. There is an iphone app for everything, and some of them are so indispensable that it's impossible to live without.
Thats how you beat the iphone, have better apps in addition to all the typical features.
Do you have any idea what fully native 1080p, 8X AA, and all high resolution textures with the nextgen effects like volumetric fog can do for a game? It'll blow your mind. I remember the good old days when Motorstorm, Resistance and Warhawk were all I needed for months. Then came Heavenly Sword and it was good for a while, after which came MGS4 then I was basically broke because I was up to my ears in games.
I'm agreeing here. Betas are only good for MMOs and statswhores. Frankly after Socom and Killzone 2 I'm not interested in any more betas. One was crapstatic and the other ruined the shock and awe of playing the killerapp for the very first time.

On my PC. Have any of you ever play CoD 4 on a high end PC? Thats what those screens look like. They're using the same engine peeps, on a GTX 290 with 8X AA and native 1080p even a relatively "dated" engine like CoD 4 looks absolutely amazing when it's being bullshot-ed to make everyone think thats what the 360 version will be like.
