A big time improvements would be a blend between the physics of Backbreaker and animation keys of Madden.
That is simply misleading. A map is a map, you can't say that a big map equal five small maps in square footage. There is also the issue of being forced to play the same two maps over and over again due to the faction war.
Speaking of which the faction war itself is also a disappointment with no reward or consequence to winning or losing other a few very minor stats and experience boost. It kinda makes me wonder why they bothered to lock us into a faction at all. Perhaps...
For an online only game MAG's lack of out of the box content is unforgivable. You're basically stuck playing the same 3 maps over and over and over in each game mode. It gets old, fast.
Something like a 6 or 7 would be about right considering what Backbreaker is trying to achieve. But the reviewer is right, the problem with Backbreaker is it's too much of a tech demo. These are not football tackles but rag doll physics tackles. Nobody in real life tackle like this without suffering career ending injuries or being ejected from the game. Safeties leading with the helmet and QB's being hit in the head and getting body slammed into the turf. It's like you're play...
Ok lets compare GoW 3 with Uncharted 2 then...oh yeah. GoW 3 loses again.
There is nothing "mature" about HL2 and all the reasons listed pale in comparison to Heavy Rain. Seriously thats uber dumb. If situations and plot decisions should be a guiding factor then why not throw Fallout into that list?
We all know Epic uses a massive amount of bullshots in their promos so any comparison with them is a fraud. Killzone 3 however is the real deal just based on Killzone 2 alone.
There is a grain of truth in Colonel Killzone's ignorance. While the average gaming PC can chew through most UE 3 games at over 100 FPS, consoles generally have a poor history with it. Particularly the PS 3.
"There's a ton of great looking games for console on the Unreal engine" Yeah, like what? Gears of War, Mass Effect 2 and Batman? 'Cause every other UE 3 engine games I know are generic looking turd with slow loading textures. I'm pretty sure that...
For what it's trying achieve Mass Effect 2 is one of those few games that hit it's target dead center. Many games like Alpha Protocol will try to imitate but they will fail due to lack of polish.
Its time for a different setting. Thats why Red Dead Redemption is so good. Maybe Rockstar should do a war game, part Crysis, part Call of Duty. My god it would be awesome.
It's just another JRPG that doesn't appeal to the western market and it shows in the reviews.
1. Duke Em Forever 2
2. Alan Wake 2
3. Star Craft: Ghost
4. Too Human 2
5. Prey 2
Those are the only tittles that would justify the Jaffe's absurdly long and unproductive development time. We're talking about years and years of nothing to show for it.
So it turns my PS3 into an insect like creature?? Not interested. That is unless this robo-insect can reduce my carbon foot print by feasting on human blood instead of using electricity.
Am I supposed to be impressed by that?
I'm concerned about so many core changes to the game. The hex square is something that should improve the series but I'm not so sure about the new one unit per title rule. What that means is there will be less units and epic game. It'll also make micro managing units much more annoying.
I'm agreeing here. The GoW fame he's living off is fading fast and so far he hasn't shown the world a god damn thing. For all we know this idiot could be developing Duke Nukem Forever 2.
I'm sorry but I just can't imagine Rock Star making an adventure game like Heavy Rain. That just isn't their thing, unless its a murder mystery like Heavy Rain in an open world.
Really? A Batman game with very dark style? No way!
What is the difference between this game and Mafia 2? From the looks of things it seems Mafia 2 has the edge so far.
The article was incredibly misleading. At least it wasn't some Rickroll BS.
