FF XIII was shit. It doesn't belong on any list other than the year's biggest disappointments.
You're wrong! I'm a fanboi and I do agree with you LOL! Even while I'm racing the crap outta GT5 and love shopping for new cars I can't help but feel that racing experience is still a little dry without realistic crash physics. Everytime I plow into the wall or play bumper cars with the AI I'm reminded of how a game that is supposed to be the definitive racing game is missing something.
I do understand why PD decided to abstract damage physics though. They...
North Korea invade America? I can't even express how moronic that is. Are we talking about the same country that can't even feed itself, has virtually zero access to fuel reserves, and does not have any strategic air lift nor any kind of deep water Navy what so ever? Lol. Yeah that can happen.
Warhawk and MAG without a doubt.
It's pointless Toaster. Apparently the GT5 fanboys only racing experience is with GT franchise and has zero experience with racing on the PC. PC sims fans would know that while GT5 is the last word in racing graphics, it sure as hell is not the definitive sim in racing physics. Not by a long shot.
...you took this "review", as a review. I absolutely love Zero Punctuation because he doesn't really do review, everything sucks, but he does a great job at bring out how absurd and moronic video games are in a humorous light.
There needs to be some sort of article reading filter in the comments. That way only peeps who actually bothered to at least click on the link can commment. Now having said that this guy need to write his own review or shut the hell up. On the release day frenzy like this nobody cares about the voice of sanity or the fact checker. That only comes after the first week or so.
So let me get this right. By not charging for something, it is now a feature? Last time I checked there isn't a multiplayer FPS out there actually charge the players for playing online. Yet now the scumbag from Activision is wearing the "free online" badge like it's some sort exclusive feature. I wonder whats next, Call of Duty: Cash Cow. "Now with no fecal matter".
The expectation is a lot higher this time around. Back in the days it was amazing that the game can even run on the PS2. Now everyone wants Hollywood quality graphics and realistic crash damage and physics. This game was supposed to be the pinnacle of racing perfection with every feature available in the genre from arcade to hardcore. It wasn't.
Maybe the freezing is intended to punish those with advanced copies. Thou shall not play before the release date!!
Take the edge of the nerd rage by reading the article is like masturbating before having sex. It ruins the experience. We can't be bothered with trivial things like logic here. This is N4G.
...yeah I'm old. I wonder what old beat up piece of crap car will I get.
The difference being the demo and retail version of Uncharted 2 were not years apart.
I think you're going a bit far, saying that Forza players are cockroaches. I believe the political correct term around here is Xbots.
I already played the shit outta GT5P. I was expecting GT5 to take a step beyond that. Because of the perfection promise. Now I'm finding out that GT5 is just GT5P with more content, which isn't bad but it's not perfection. It is not THE racing sim with every feature checked out. What it does offer is the best looking racing game with the most content.
I'll tell you what though, when I'm showing off my system over the holidays I'll be using GT5 to do i...
It would be nice if the devs love their game more than the cars which they model. Thats my impression from GT5P, I hope this is not the case with the full game. And by that I mean how the game plays like like a glorified show room simulator. There is more to driving than gear ratios and wheel physics. Damage modeling in particular really should've been on the forefront.
That was easily the most cryptic attempt at spaming in recent memory.
Where the hell is the damage modeling? In one of the vid the driver plowed into the wall at 87mph then bounced out like his car was made of plastic. In another he bumped into a wooden track fence then bounced back like he hit a solid wall of steel. WTF?? I thought this game took so long to make because it's the most realistic driving sim ever.
I dunno. While the graphics are slick the gameplay looks stale as hell without some sort of realistic crash physics. I still thin...
I would hardly call those deals. Even the Samsung LCD is dated. For a thousand dollars for a dated Samsung 46 LCD you're hardly getting a deal. I would rather spend 1.5K to get a TV that's much better.
So far the only game that can be considered as a good deal is the $10 for Infamous on Amazon, if you haven't already played it.
This franchise desperately need dedicated servers. When are people going to realize, peer to peer is last gen. Games like CoD clearly illustrate why. Hell, PC shooter has been doing dedicated servers since the late 90s. Its time for the consoles to climb aboard the dedicated servers only train.
