I can see that the peeps who disagreed with Toaster wouldn't know what a simulator is if it smacked them in the ass. The only impressive thing about GT5 as a sim is the graphics. The actually car and racing physics can't even be considered as hardcore. The cars have no weight and the road feels like you're driving on glass, there's no texture to them.

BF3 will probably be BF2 with destructible enviroments, no more no less. They're billing this version of BF as something that will "blow away" PC gamers but I seriously doubt it. Unless this is some kind of revolutionary new idea like the first BF1942 then PC gamers will not be shocked and awed.

There is no such thing as a must play game before you die and I spend a lot of my time playing games across a lot of platforms. Gaming is a hobby, there is nothing about it that is a definitive life experience.
I bet you won't last a month as a warden with that attitude. Prisoners are kept in their cells because they allow you to keep them there. Every guard knows that. When the prisoners no longer tolerate confinement thats when you don't have a prison anymore, you have a morgue.
Gaming consoles are cheap. Dead guards are expensive. Let them play games, watch TV, and lift weights as much as they want.
I'm not sure when exactly but if there's going to be a nextgen console it needs to be in development soon. I do not see Sony and MS sitting on their ass and living off the 360 and PS3 till 2015. A decade without introducing new hardware is just an invitation for another competitor to jump in and suck up the market share. Sony stuck with the PS2 too long and allowed MS to capture half of the "HD" market with the Xbox and Xbox 360. I seriously doubt they'll let that happen...

I understand that fully realistic damage model hasn't been done on any driving sims, not even on the PC but at least have some sort of damage modeling on the AI to keep a sense of immersion.
I'm not sure about that KB is hard as hell. It pits you with against almost impossible odds.
This teaser is a total fail. If a teaser is shit then it doesn't bode well for the final product.

Singularity reeks of being a Bioshock clone in plot and structure. The problem is I'm tired of Bioshock and Bioshock 2.

Played the hell out of this on the PC. Awesome RPG. But I'll be renting this for the PS3 for completeness. There's quite a few good RPGs coming in 2011, the only thing missing another Fallout.

For what it's worth the Alan Wake and GT5 comparison is a valid one in terms of critical reviews. Both took forever to make and both failed to hit a home run with the critics.
