My mistake about saying a phone from 2008.
But look at this.
http://www.hotmobilenews.co...
There are phones coming out or are out now that have 1 gig of RAM. At least 2 models. That's in 2011. The PS Vita is releasing in 2012 and is a handheld that is going to be supported for several years.
I think my skepticism about the mem...
The engines you mentioned at the end are not specifically built for one console or the other. Cryengine 3 is a long-term investment in next-gen consoles. The Skyrim engine is not a new engine, it's a highly retooled in-house engine which was used for previous Bethesda games. And Rage runs on iD-tech 5 and has been in development for many years.
You're not going to see a dev create a brand new engine for the 360 any time soon.
@lord sloth.
No, not stupid people. It's easy to forget how to approach a situation in real life when you spend a lot of time dealing with situations in video games.
only 6 SPUs can be used for gaming purposes.
The software can be further optimized to run a game with that level on 360. Gears of War 3 looks a lot better than Uncharted 1, and people were saying no game on 360 could even surpass Uncharted 1 but now there is one. Crysis 2 on 360 looks better than what people thought the 360 could do.
It all depends on the effort a developer is willing to put in. As of right now you're never going to see a 360 game surpass Uncharted 3 or God of War 3 graphics because the 360 is ne...
Everything related to visuals goes through the GPU. Where did you get those numbers.
"You don't need to be rich, a couple grand will get you a good enough receiver and speakers to notice the difference."
Yes, I think you do need to be rich to shell out 2 grand for audio equipment. Some people have trouble getting the rent in on time, and others are swamped with the cell phone bills.
2 thousand dollars can build you a rig and buy your headphones that will surpass any experience that could be had on a console, so why would someon...
vicheous are you in norway right now?
If so, what's the economic climate like? Is it improving or are they still predicting decline? I ask because I've always been interested in living in Norway. Such a beautiful place.
Well would I be wrong in thinking that maybe you have something else to blame?
In these types of incidents, people are always looking to blame something, and usually they want to blame something they're not personally affiliated with.
People who don't play games and/or don't like video games might be the first to blame video games because they have an ulterior agenda.
People who are not religious and/or might be anti-religious mig...
That would good news. A lot of people are probably wondering whether H4 will be for 360 or the next Xbox. Considering what competing shooter titles are able to do now, with the likes of Killzone and Resistance and Battlefield 3, and even TPS shooters like Gears and UC, I'm kind of hoping that Halo 4 is being developed for the next Xbox. This isn't to say that I'm going to buy the next Xbox but I do like to see the game advance.
Better physics, better graphics...
This feature that's being talked about in the article seems way more 'arcadey' than what you're talking about.
I wonder how it will be spun. You have all of these gt fans bashing forza's accessibility features, but now PD is making a mid-race save feature for gt5. haha. I guess they're finally understanding that the most important thing for a game is for it to not make you hate it.
Edit:

Why does a dedicated gaming handheld have less RAM than any Android phone?
Not hating, I just think Sony might be making the same mistake by adding too little RAM.
If an Android phone from 2008 comes with 1 gig of RAM, why does a dedicated gaming device in 2011/2012 comes with 256 or 512 megs of RAM?
Assuming the PS Vita also has an OS interface running in the background, then you'd have to subtract some RAM for overhead.
Crysis 2 AI is really terrible. IDK how the author came to the conclusion to put it at number 1. He mentions that the enemy AI has pathfinding issues which is really a bigger problem than he lets on. The aliens nearly always get stuck behind something if the player moves backwards in an object-laden field. Not only that but there's a level at the end of the game where the player can just walk through a field brimming with alien enemies who are shooting at the player and all the player...
ipe, friendly AI in Halo is terrible, but enemy AI is pretty good.
Killzone 2's AI is great. They take longer to kill because they stay in cover and don't try anything stupid. But I'd say close quarter combat against Killzone enemy AI is really simple because they don't fight back. In Halo 3/Reach, if you try to melee a Brute or Elite they will fight back and can kill you.
Stop counter-trolling.
They included Assassin's Creed Revelations, so why is it on your list?
Secondly, it's a top 5 list, which means the writer thinks these games will be the top 5 sellers on any list.
Halo CE will come with beta access codes. You're thinking that it's saying Halo 4 beta will begin when Halo CE releases.
Nothing is about luck. It's called chance.
The element of bluffing plays a major factor in poker.
However, since bluffing cannot be used to beat an opponent in a fighter video game, your comment is completely irrelevant. I bet you're one of those guys that doesn't think before he speaks.
You're the only committing a logical fallacy. It's a video game. The red-colored suit doesn't make the player any more noticeable to AI. And red is stylish.
