Sony's purchase of Sucker Punch is not good news at all.
Sucker Punch was doing just fine as an independent studio. They were making PS exclusives. Their engine technology was great. They had the freedom to do what they wanted and work with who they wanted.
Sony purchased Sucker Punch to prevent the studio from working on either the 360 or on PC.
Now whether the studio wants to or not, they have to make PS exclusives. And they won'...
Having Kinect support is not going to hurt the game. You don't need it to play games like Mass Effect or Forza.
Read the article. The guy is saying that the their will be full Kinect integration with their next wave of XBLA titles. One title a month.
Unlike what some people say, MS is not forcing the games to be exclusive to Kinect, but to have Kinect support.

Your first sentence is a lie, as Microsoft does not have the ability to force anyone to buy anything. Considering that one of the negative claims against Microsoft before Kinect launched was that they wouldn't support it, it is ironic how much Microsoft is being criticized (on this site) for supporting Kinect as well as it does.
Secondly, Microsoft's commitment to the Halo franchise makes you think that they are weak, when one could also view their commitment to Halo...
