Wow...
This game looks absolutely stunning so far.
Haha, no. Where is the objectivity when you need some?
Yeah, because it will be unplayable for most.
They won't.
Cool story. I have one too. I work in game development for over 16 years now and I'm sure you played at least two games I've worked on. Upscaling the graphics won't magically solve over 200+ TRC requirements the game has to fulfill to be allowed to release on current-gen platforms. As much as I would love for it to be as easy as you think it is, it simply isn't. And sorry, if I've offended you but it strucks my nerve every time when I see 'it's easy' or 'be...
How do you know remastered ME Trilogy would sell gangbusters? I bet someone at EA/ Bioware already did some kind of cost vs. return calculations for any of their old-gen titles worth remastering, and they simply found none. And when you say about KOTOR 'it would be so easy to up-res the game', it makes you sound a bit ignorant. It takes so much more than just that to release an old game on current consoles.
@Fluttershy77
You have no idea how many devs read these comments.
Since they apparently wanted to do real-time cutcenes, because of customization, I smell technical limitations on consoles. We've had similiar problem with too many bones in the scenes. We ended up directing the camera in a way that there were only two characters visible at a time. Looking at complexity of cutscenes they showed us so far, that would be my guess.
When EGS gains more ground, the same developers will crawl back because money.
The only problem we should have is that it's clearly very casual. But that's the main target so I don't blame them.
That's a change for a demographic that pays the most, casuals. The same with the mech. It's just business at the end of the day.
Woah for Darksiders 3. Awesome!
The tears of pros have a sweet taste now.
Looks great!
Author is clearly too young.
MS:
- Hey, Insomniac! We want to buy you!
- F*** off!
Sony:
- Hey, Insomniac! We want to...
- YES!!!
Subjective. It's ok to you, not to everybody. I find RDR2 to be an achievement as a whole, just like GTAV.
Not monetizing it would be 'ahead of the industry'.
You are not a gamer then.
