Well, if it wasn't planned, then I would love to meet the person who genuinly thought 'Let's double the entry price, people will love it!'.
As brother in arms, I really feel their pain, but this shit is getting a bit ridiculous. I have this Takemura glitch where he calls me, says nothing and just stays there. Interactions are not allowed because of this. I'm on a call which I can't finish because he's not talking. He called me 1 minute into the game after installing this patch and that was it. Kind of major whoopsie for a patch that was supposed to fix things. This is the first time this game became literally unplayab...
It's so obvious they did it on purpose to gain in the eyes of gamers. 'We are listening to you. Here, have a cookie.'
Yes, this unique gear or item thing is at the core of the idea. Timed event at least gives you the chance of getting this unique item for free, though. Normally you would have to buy it, which you probably wouldn't do at all. I think it has upsides too. And it makes those gamers who get it for free during an event like this feel 'unique' and 'better' than others too. It works, unfortunately 😏
But this exactly what we do. We compare. I can't say much because I have such NDA that it's scary 😅. What data shows is that one doesn't exclude the other. DLC sales depend on quality of DLC and it still has bigger draw than timed events. But events don't cost you anything except for mentioned feeling of missing out. And you're absolutely right. It's done on purpose and it's because of micro transactions. It's all in the psyche. Personally, I don't ...
You assume wrong. I'm working on an unannounced triple A single player game. I worked on mobile games and I hated it becasue that's the real evil. Don't know what to tell you, man. Telemetry shows different story. I would like to see on what you're basing your accusations on besides your own subjective feelings.
Ok, so I will tell you what general telemetry says as I'm a game designer and there is other side to this. Many gamers are coming back to old games because of this. It's often rekindles old love so to speak. Telemetry showed me that gamers who spent at least 20-30h in a game and stopped playing, were coming back during events like this and it was clearly sucking them in again because they often kept playing for another several hours over next days.
I would love to know you think that. Is it the feeling of missing out on things when you skip it?
That's awesome and all but I'm playing it in VR on PS5 which is not available on any platform. I'll easily settle for 1800p because of this. Fight me.
Prepare for disappointment then.
Most discussed?? By who?
If by 'more flexible' you mean open to mediocrity, then yes.
I think the guy has ended.
It's better not to promise anything after CP fiasco. Smart.
Same. No bugs. Played on PS5. Awesome game. It's a solid 8 from me.
It's an 8.
Awesome game. Really surprised me. It's multiplatform Zelda.
Yet another company that blames it on the testers. They are not dogs, you know?
Cyberpunk fiasco strikes again.
I concur. This in VR is something else. Love it!
