I think the issue is with AAA game development in general. It became very derivative. Take any recent AAA game and see how many mechanics/ ideas/ solutions are taken from other successful games that came before it. I actually think Sony is the only big company that wants to shake it up again by giving new ways to experience the same things.
This 'eco' spin is a nice excuse for cutting costs.
Pretty sure Sony is waiting for a patch that will considerably lower the amount for crash reports they are getting.
Only with GP.
When it hit differently, I felt that.
It's a strong 7 or weak 8 for me. I don't think 5 is fair.
FYI, price of MLB 21 is the same on both platforms. MS has for sure an upper hand with it being free on GP, though
For me, the game would need to be stellar for 70$. I think we are entering a territory where enjoyable experience will have to be *guaranteed* if they want us to shell out this kind of money for new game.
I have reservations too. My issue is, in story moments this game seems to be very grounded but during gameplay, you suddenly run'n'jump superfast and shoot colorful balls of fire in housemarque style. I think It's this dissonance between the tone of the story and gameplay that bugs me the most. But who knows, maybe it'll work as It does seem to be fun. Also, there is no way I will pay 70$ for bullet-hell type of game. It screams of repetitiveness.
Same here.
In U.S., right? It's standing on the shelves in my country. Not everywhere, but you can get it without any no problem.
Haha, you sound exactly like me when No Man's Sky was launching. :D
I'm actually following Returnal very closely as I don't want to make the same mistake I did with No Man's Sky at launch. Small studio going full price, sounds familiar? I have full faith in Housemarque as dev, though. I love them since Supreme Snowboarding and they have a great track record. I will end up buying it probably.
@Vengeance1138
Hopefully, you're right. I'm just not sure why are you so sure we're gonna get 70$ experience? Because it has story and pretty cutscenes?
Running to the bike just for the sake of running, without any underlying deeper mechanic, will get annoying. They should at least give a way to somehow influence how far you slide after the fall. You'd be able to shorten the distance to the bike, if you'd be good at 'falling' like that.
Looks awesome. That price, though :/ I really hope it's warranted.
Yeah, Dark Void was pretty decent. Nolan North voiced main hero AFAIR.
Ghost of Tsushima is already patched.
That was exactly the point.
@P_Bomb
Then I guess you're lucky. I still have crashes on PS5. Defnitely less frequent than on launch day but they are still there, after 5 months. This shouldn't be acceptable because that is one of the main reasons people choose consoles over PC. Worry free gaming. Sony gets it.
