Someone will surely try the first day.
@BossBattle
Rift isn't more powerful than PSVR. Platform it runs on is. Wait until Sony allows PSVR on PC. Matter of time.
It's coming. Decision has been made.
I'm with you on this one. Sticks in regular XOne controller aren't stiff enough for me too. That part is actually better in DS4. Haven't checked the Elite though, so I don't know if they fixed it.
Here come the excuses. What else is new?
@dreadz74
My Gear VR has screen with higher res than Oculus or Rift, and yet you can still see dots because it has pentile layout, just like Oculus and Rift. Sony uses RGB layout, where all pixels are inline so matrix layout is harder to spot. I think this actually levels the field between RGB 1080p and QHD Pentile.
Beta was horrific :(
@Testfire
Sure, processing power on Galaxy phones isn't on par with beefed up PC, but there are some really cool games which perfectly show what VR really means. Also, consuming other media than games on GearVR is actually better because of higher res screen. 3D and 360 movies look great. There is zero lag, just like on other headsets and the precision of movement is impeccable. If you already have S6 or S7 I highly recommend to get it. It's the cheapest way to exper...
This has to be the biggest nonsense I've heard this week.
Yes. I have Gear VR and I'm totally sold on the concept.
That picture though...
Can you explain why you think Rift and Vive will be more successfull than PSVR? Would like to understand your logic because I don't see any.
Same here. I will wear it until I puke.
I concur. I'm not surprised at all by this too. People are misjudging the demand for this kind of tech. All they see is 'yet another 3D' gimmick. But it's soooo much more than that. And Sony being the only one in the console space with this kind peripherial helps a lot too. They will own 'VR in living room' market very quickly once it launches. And for me, the price is exactly where it should be to make it successful.
If it's too high then why Oculus sold out first wave of pre-orders in 15 minutes for 599$? People here are clearly misjudging the demand for this tech. It'll fly off the shelves at this price point and Sony is going to rule mainstream VR market. And I can bet they will also try to sell it as your huge, but personal, screen for consuming other types of media. Imax experience at home basically.
Duh... Doesn't change a thing for casual consumer.
@kingPoS
I have no problems with subtitles if they're in SubRip format (.SRT) with UTF-8 encoding and have the same name as the file. You have to enable Closed Captions in PS4's settings first.
For The Witcher? No, they're not.
It'll only get worse in the years to come.
'Already replacing' would mean now. It won't come until the end of this year, IF it's even going to be this year.
And competition doesn't sleep. Sony can't allow MS to come out with updated hardware first. With NX on the horizon and VR which needs more power I can understand why they want to do it. Is it too soon? Maybe. Technology advancement grows exponentially though. Look at smartphones.
