edge gave a 10 to bayonetta and that game wasn't that incredible. more like an 8 to me... graphics were horrible and particulary glitchy on PS3 so a 7 is more like it.
i'm not doubting miyamoto (or whoever made this game), just edge...
I hope they show something in E3! And now that Itagaki's gone I believe that Team Ninja will swallow their pride and will be inpired by newer awesome games like Bayonetta or GOW3 because the formula on Ninja Gaiden's getting kinda old.

The american numbering it's plain wrong. We have a FFVII but where are IV, V and VI? When I first saw II and III on the list I was like: "are these people mad? those are two of the worst FF games and games in general (specially the third)". Where's the materia system equivalent in FFXIII? Where are the sidequests, airplane, submarine, chocobo breeding, etc? None of the characters nor the story have any similarities, no real antagonist and completely different graphics style and art.

you know, I bought FFVII and VII. I have a fisical copy of VIII but I never played VII before. After I finished VIII for the first time I was pleased but then I started playing XIII and it was a huge disappointment so I went back to play FFVII for the first time ever so there's no nostalgia here. My nostalgia is with VIII and that's why I have the avatar even though after playing VII I just realise how much superior is VII when compared to VIII but now to my point.

I agree with Blaster, FFXIII was a downgrade from prior entries. They focused too much on graphics and presentation and ignored all those little things that made the frachise so great to me.

I played the japanese demo of RoF but it's kinda crap, specially the graphics. That game has one of the most horrible graphics I have seen this gen! The battle system was something like Valkyrie Profile 2 but with guns... Not that good at all.
I didn't like FFXIII either but I think that the game's the best jrpg's this gen (not including Valyria Chronicles because that one is turn based strategy). All the jrpg's this gen have been so so so... Underwhelming.

I beat the game a few days ago and it was indeed really good. Everybody's complaining about the ending but for me it was really good too. To think that this game it's just the beginning of something that will get so epic that is not even funny. =P
BTW the knights were designed by the same person that made the Evas of Evangelion and it seems that the story's gonna take the same apocalyptic spin! Can't wait for the sequel!!!!

I just don't know what's the point of these comparisons because the most important thing in a game it's the gameplay, and Halo wins on that aspect. That's why so many people like the series so much and on top of that it has a really good art direction and story.
Killzone graphics are incredible but the controls are a mess. I had the game, beat it on the highest difficulty to get some trophies and sold it because I couldn't stand it.
Dimps are such a fail dev. They haven't even done a single good game yet, even though they are a pretty old dev team with like more than 20 games.
An 8 it's not enought for a FF tittle. FF games have to be perfect, just like the Gran Turismo series. But thanks to M$ it wasn't possible with FFXIII, now all hopes are on FFvsXIII.
It has been so many years since I last played a KH game that I already lost interest in the series... The next console tittle will need to bring many new thing as to blow my mind to actually return to it.
With these many spin-offs making the convoluted story even more convoluted I get headaches. The story in KH doesn't even makes sense anymore. Not even the Metal Gear Solid series has such complicated storyline.
me too man. me too... Not long ago I tried to return to IE but it was too difficult because it felt slower, buggy and it uses much more resource than Ffox. And I really missed the customizations and add-ons.
IE's for noobs or for people that simply don't know that there are other alternatives.
