At least HHG is a gamer, Pachter is just a tool...
I really want to play the remake of FFIV but on handheld and on DS? Hell no!
The same with FFVII on PsP or whatever. A 40 hours rpg on tiny screen is too much.
Anyway after reading this I'm losing faith in FFvsXIII... It seems like Square's not even trying to make awesome games anymore because it's too hard. =(
Fear Effect 3 > everything
The first 2 Fear Effect are some of the best games I have ever played and the trailer of the third looked pretty awesome. They retained the art style and included more monsters, this was a sure win. But as ever, the masses ignored yet another incredible game just like they did with Shenmue. =(
This could be true because Vanille and Fang were trapped in the crystal for (I believe) several hundreds of years ago from when people used to live on Pulse until Fang went on a rampage with Ragnarok powers to fulfil her focus. And then when Sahz and Vanille were in Golden Saucer v-1.5 (Nautilus?) there was a presentation about how Pulse was saved from total destruction and when Vanille was watching it she was like really scared of remembering.
Then you see this pic and wonde...
That's true. VS was going to be the main FF game but Square found it to be too distant from the traditional FF formula because it was too "dark" and "mature".
This is from wikipedia so don't blame me if Square say something different later.
I don't get your comment but isn't the water supposed to be almost frozen due to the extreme cold? Maybe that's why it looks kinda solid.
I wouldn't mind FFvsXIII going multi if only the X360 had a high capacity media format like the blu-ray. Because it is obvious they are going to cut lots of content due to space limitation to keep the disc count low. This has nothing to do with graphics, that the X360's less capable or whatever. They can always downgrade resolution and other things to make the game playable on either console.
The thing is, what will happen when you're half through the game on the...

Another thing is, what will happen when you're half through the game on the second or third disc of the X360 version? Considering the game will be less linear, on the PS3 will you be able to access early areas and on the X360 not? Or are they go...
That Xiphos guy must be a saint then
Anybody with a GameSpot account could post this on the System War forums? Making emphasis on the graphics aspect... I just wanna have some fun reading the comments and specially now that the lemmings are in a denial strike saying that Alan Wake's "vastly" superior to Uncharted 2 graphically.
Without Miyamoto, Nintendo would have died off long ago.
Well it didn't run better (too much screen-tearing) but it looked much more unique. Artistically speaking all the games made with UE3 are kinda generic looking. No matter what kind of art style devs use all games made with UE3 have something that makes them look the same.
Just look at Ghostbusters, Batman and GeoW or UT. Last Remnant vs Lost Odyssey
1m are poor sales and it took like 8 months to achieve it... This is no joke.
LoL XD
Many people thought at one point that FFX and GT3 were the best graphics the PS2 could achieve but then games like FFXII, God of War 2 and GT4 with 1080i support came out. I belive this argument it's applicable to the X360 too because the console doesn't has as many dedicated engines as the PS3.
Many people bought the game because they are fans of the series not because it was a good or bad game. I bought the game, beat it and it was a disappointment.
I was always bashing XII because of the story that was too much into politics and very little drama but after playing XIII things changed. XII at least had a huge world with many side quests, weapons, espers and challenges. You say that you're still playing FFXIII after beating it but I don't believe because Pu...
But the truth is that we'll never know... The pace and linearity aspects of the game were way too convinient for the X360 version, Square did not took advantage of blu-ray. We had the entire game on a single disc but we couldn't return to prior areas not even by menu and Pulse (open-world) was conveniently placed at the end (3rd disc of the X360 version).
FFXIII was a huge disappointment for the fans. This was a game made for casuals and people that aren't fans of...
I trust Nomura, Kingdom Hearts story was nice. I like convoluted stories because it makes me find them intriguing with many points to argue with other people over the forums.
I beat the game for the first time a couple of months ago and it was awesome. Easily one of the best games I have ever played. 10/10
The only drawback were the graphics. They didn't age well and were simply horrible...
What's the point in having a rating scale from 1to10 when you don't even use half of it. Any game below a 7 is considered utter crap so we have more numbers to tell us how shitty a game is than to properly describe its worthiness.
Another thing is that these days reviewers have rated so many games with 10's that I get easily disappointed when my most anticipated games doesn't get one. Right now reviews are being used as tools to push sales instead of informin...
