Ray tracing is overrated. Its just Nvidia and Amd pushing it down everyone's throat so they can charge more. It's clearly not ready for games and even when it does work its not worth the performance loss. It looks cool when you first see it but after a while you don't even pay attention to it in most games. I would of preferred they focus on improving VR cause that's more useful in the long run.
It depends some open world games are too repetitive or add boring missions to pad out a game and those are too long but then you got some games where even though they are long you just want more.
His reasoning for games being shorter is about the cost of making them not if they drag on. He claims that cost of making games have gone up at least 2x since the beginning of the PS3 era but the price has remained at $60. He is saying that AAA games need to be shorter so eventually they don't end up costing more to produce than they will make. I can't remember the name but i know there were a couple games that sold millions of copies but their budget was so big that they lost money a...
I think some of the older consoles like the Atari 5200 were bigger but without exact measurements we cant say for sure.
God of War did it well.

No it won't i believe they said the Next gen versions won't be available at the console launches already. Plus seeing as they haven't announced a date for the next gen i believe they are holding off on releasing it so they will sell more on the PS4 and XB1 since people won't know if it will be 3 months or a year for the next gen version.
These are the very first games for next gen, the graphics at the beginning of a new gen are never what that console is truly capable of as the developers get used to the new tech. Also an ssd doesn't have much effect on graphical quality. It's power will be seen in the load times, the decrease in the number of assets needing to be duplicated which will lower the file size, and the type of environments and new gameplay elements that will now be possible since the data can be accessed a...
I know Insomniac is too busy to make Resistance 4 but i wish they let another company make a remastered collection.
It used to be a lot more fun in the early years with all the glitches and the payouts but now they made it pointless if you don't have friends and made everything overpriced and a grind so you would buy the shark cards. The VIP, CEO, Bunker, Heists, and Nightclub missions are the most fun and pay the most and you used to be able to do them in solo or invite only sessions but they changed it so that you have to do them in public sessions and that ruined the game. In the public sessions eve...
I think 2023 if they don't run into any problems. I think they will release GTA6 story first and then launch the online mode in 2024.
@Vits What are you talking about $20-30 its a 4k blu ray drive not the one in current gen. A 4k Blu ray drive is $100-150 even if they get a wholesale discount its not gonna be near 20-30.
Yes they have more power in the gpu and cpu but that doesn't mean next gen will provide constant 60fps. That would be true if the devs used the extra power to make games similar to current gen. But devs won't do that they will put that power into better graphics and more complex environments which will run similarly to how it does now 30-60fps. This is just speculation on my part since you cant truly compare the two but the 5700xt is what i think the PS5 gpu is the most similar to but...
Honestly this looks like a PS3 era game graphically. This feels like they made it for PS4 and then Sony was like shit we need a PS5 game for kids so they made them make a PS5 version.
Since this isn't the next little big planet will we still be able to make levels and play other peoples levels? Cause when i thought of a next gen little big planet the worlds that people could make with the extra power is what comes to mind.
This was a big let down the environments and enemy designs were all amazing but the gameplay looks wack. The enemies all look easy to kill and no skill involved. Narrow corridors funneling enemies and when we finally got to an open area with a multiplying enemy they get destroyed easily too.
I like it, it looks futuristic and i was definitely surprised when i saw it. This looks more like a game console than Xbox but i wish they gave more info instead of making us wait for the next event. I could understand them waiting for Microsoft to announce their price to make sure they don't have a huge difference, but they could of shown the UI and the new features for the console.
It reminds me of God of War and Dark souls a bit i just hope it has cool bosses like Dark souls.
Won't work, look at microtransactions and loot boxes. They make billions each year off idiots and rich people. Unless you get rid of those people the price will stay. Even if it slows the adoption rate most people will eventually buy the console when that game they been waiting for comes out or when they feel left out when their friends are playing without them.
