I'm a huge console gamer as well as PC gamer, and I really don't like calling out consoles, but the reason is consoles. Crysis 1 was amazing. It was smooth, refined, and just all around awesome. Then Crysis 2 happened.

I've been playing Halo hardcore since 2003. Between Halo 2, 3 and Reach I have just shy of 8000 games played, over 107,000 kills, and over a month and a half of in game multiplayer time. That's just the online multiplayer, that doesn't even count matchmaking time, all the LAN parties I've had over the years, or all the time I spent playing the Betas.

L4D1 was nothing short of incredible, I honestly can't describe just how awesome it was playing through that game with friends for the first time. But L4D2 added way too much crap, and they lost the atmosphere. Killing zombies became a joke, instead of going "OH S*** I'M GONNA DIE!!!!!" it became a "Hahaha I blew him apart!" Even the music made it seem like a joke.
If they can re-capture the feelings and atmosphere of L4...
