Yes. This game actually sucks. That's why I played it for 17 hours today.
This is the one reason I want the game. Unfortunately it's not enough to make me buy it. I'll be too busy playing Halo 4 anyway.
In my opinion, it's Halo 3, no contest.
OH MAN! Heaven forbid that Gabe Newell removes a game from his store that he disagrees with!
I see no problem with Valve banning this game from it's store. This is exacttly like saying that there is nothing wrong with looking at porn. What's really sad is that I will probably get multiple responses and disagrees from people defending looking at porn.
Sorry kids, you won't be playing games in 4k resolution on the PS4.
Let's put this into perspective.
A screen with 4k resolution has 7,464,960 pixels.
Current games run in 720p, which means, they have 921,600 pixles.
That means that next gen consoles would have to be 8.1 times more powerful to run the exact same games in 4k resolution, without any other graphical upgrades.
47% of gamers are women? Oh really? Define "gamer."
I would argue that fanboys are not "hardcore" gamers, they're just hardcore idiots. Hardcore gamers are willing to play any good game regardless of the platform.
Wow. WOW. A shoddy background story? Oh really? You really have no idea how big and deep the Halo universe is do you? Have you even played any of the games or heard about any of the story from the books?
I can understand not liking a game, but at least know something about the game before coming to that conclusion. I don't quite understand why the Uncharted series is so huge, but I'm not sitting here ripping it apart.
All fanboys are awful, but blind Nintendo fanboys might be some of the worst.
Um, no. No thank you. I don't want gaming to be mainstream, and the day that I can no longer sit and play video games with a controller is the day I will cease being a gamer.
If you had 8 360s that died because of RROD, then you were doing something wrong.
360's need ventilation, my first 360 only lasted a year because I was an idiot and had it in a place where it would suck in it's own hot exhaust air to cool. My 2nd 360 just recently red ringed after 4 rigorous years of gaming, and that one is the very first generation of 360's that run way hotter than the other 360's.
Luckily fixing them in't very hard, so m...
Halo 3 was bigger for the hardcore Halo fans. They did a much better job of building the hype, and it helped that it was supposed to be the last Halo game. They started building hype almost a year in advance, and they didn't let up for that whole year. I would get shivers down my spine whenever I heard the Halo theme the year that Halo 3 came out.
I'll give Halo 4 second most exciting game on Xbox 360.
I'm glad they are going for more of a Halo 3ish look with Halo 4. I honestly do not like Reach's graphics. I'd much rather play with Halo 3 graphics over Reach's any day.
I'm glad to see people are finally realizing this.
I remember telling people this on N4G a while ago and they just said "NO YOU STUPID!!!"
Battlefield 3 with textures on Ultra uses over 3 GB of RAM by itself. Not including the OS.
There really is no legitimate reason to have so little RAM. Even if it has 4 GB or RAM Dev's will be running out of room before too long and will be forced to go back to streaming textures and such.
Crytek can suck it. They aren't getting any more of my money, not after Crysis 2.
I think you are forgetting that within a couple of console generations, graphics will be about as good as they will ever get. So any perks that cloud gaming can add graphically, will be minimal. Microchips will continue to get faster and cheaper to produce, so getting all that power into customers homes won't be a problem.
Then we have the issues of internet connections like connectivity and being able to stream in 1080p, depending on the servers being up all the time, ho...
Exciting? Probably not.
New? Probably not.
For Next Gen consoles? Yes.
That was my thought too. Just what we need, Activision outsourcing to other developers. Bungie's union with Activision is the biggest mistake they've ever made.
Might as well wait one more year for next gen consoles instead of spending a ton of money on a PC. Next gen is almost here and unless you're going to spend a ton of money on your PC your visuals won't be any better than next gen consoles. Remember, the Xbox 360's GPU is comparable to a CPU which cost over $600 back in 2005 when the 360 launched.
It's not a good time to build a PC IMO. If you build a PC now you'll probably enjoy 1 year of superior visuals b...
