Exclusive anything is a bad marketing strategy. What would be the point of making a game exclusive to one platform, when you can make more money expanding to other platforms. It's always bad, but people do it for the sake of contracts and backroom deals. Every business has this type of thing.
The Medal of Honor Beta outcry from the 360 fans was because EA said at a certain date they would get the beta and they never did. If the Medal of Honor was never coming to the 360 in the first place, no one would really care. They wouldn't even know there was a beta for it.

Forza 2 had a couple of achievements that were odd or ended in an odd number that was not 5. I actually worked my ass off trying to get my gamerscore to a nice looking number ending in 0 or 5. Just looks better.
