So I had to confirm the spoilers for myself after the f*cker above spoiled it for me. I won't be spoiling any plot but this game's story is definitely garbage. WTF Naughty Dog.
I recommend that you pause your watch history and your search history on youtube. RDR2 was spoiled for me by these spoiling thumbnails. After it, I paused my history and never bothered with spoilers again.
The game seems to be complete, please release it already. Or at least release it at the originally planned date. I don't want this game to be spoiled for me.
The level design of this game, simply put, is atrocious. NPC interactions were dialed down because the level design team seemed to not know how to allocate memory. One of the things mentioned in the recent noclip documentaries is that to enter the bar on the Groundbreaker, all the Groundbreaker's background section needed to be deleted. This just tells me that they, simply put, haven't put much effort into memory allocation (which is why they still required lengthy loading screens).
It just seems to me that many game developers don't know how to allocate memory and require an automated procedure for that. This can be showcased by the fact that the few who do know how to allocate memory (Rockstar, Naughty Dogs, etc.), never blame the consoles for given game design shortcomings.
The Outer Worlds, while well designed in terms of mechanics (the flaws mechanic and such), is badly designed in terms of levels and areas.
I can't get my head around the fact that Boyarsky and Tim Cain are back working together again.
SPOILERS:
I hope if they are developing the next Outer Worlds, that they outline the game narrative and design based on Emerald (but also create an end-segment narrative because Emerald Vale felt empty after completing its main quest). Monarchy, Roseway and Groundbreaker were good but felt rushed and the options were not that explored. Scylla was, as mentio...
It seems you are being optimistic with the dates. I don't believe any of the major games will release in September.
Why you ask? Because the largest gaming market (USA) will be minimized for longer than September. America will need to shutdown for at least 6 months and at most 9 months if it wants to recover from the virus. If it doesn't shutdown, expect the virus' fear to shutdown the gaming market for at least 1.5 years.
Yah... and we know know why. Microsoft and Sony are explicit in human rights violations (Uyghurs being dragged to factories while Chinese citizens were under quarintine).
If they would have delayed the presentation until next week and created something similar to the PS4 reveal presentation (which was relatively similar to this but with tech demos and games that showcased the technical talk), then it would have been tons better.
I don't usually comment on these matters, but I have the urge to comment here. Red Dead Redemption 2 showcased what Xbox One X can do, the same is true for many other titles released in fall 2018 and all of 2020. It definitely had games that utilized its power (you simply can't deny that with a straight face).

I like how all your comments are trolling and anger-baiting ones.

Truly shameful business:

If only that.... It seems it will break the economy of many countries (making it impossible to even buy the new systems until 3 or 4 years from now).
It doesn't look bad, it would be better if the "box" was more transparent instead of black.
This sounds childish.
What? U4 was great.
I would really like to see a Shadowrun RPG game. I hope they are creating that at this studio.
The artwork may suggest that it is a VR game, but it is not.
