its only a matter of time, with how the supported the wii and now with this first party treatment Nintendo is giving to them. seems like they respect each other.
all i can say is that the PS1 and PS2 were phenomenal consoles, the PS3 wasn't even in stone throwing distance of it's predecessors.
Square Enix wasted this generation making mediocre games no one wanted. SE could have made a FF Final Crises sequel or expanded that world on consoles, or how about released FF Versus or Kingdom Hearts 3 or spin off's, or new IP's, or simply make a good FF game. Never played Rage, just didn't appeal to me.

here is further indication of Rockstar's vagueness, http://www.rockstargames.co... . note at the end of GTA V's trailer, there are no logo's for any platforms at all. even on Rockstar's website for GTA V's game page, under release date and platforms it says TBA. so you'd have to come to the conclusion that retailers are just making assumptions that you can pre-order the game for current...
i'd say releasing GTA V on a new console makes a lot more sense considering both Ps3 and Xbox360 are probably going to have their successors release in the next year or so. and i highly doubt all 120+ million people that own the current generation consoles are going to buy GTA V just because they own the current consoles. GTA IV released in 2008, its now going on 2013. So your telling me it makes more sense Rockstar would wait 5 years to release a new GTA on an aging console? I think it m...

im going to make a guess and say it is a next-gen launch title for fall 2013. doesn't make much sense releasing a game like GTA V on the back end of a consoles life cycle like the PS3 or Xbox360 in 2013.

so people are actually complaining about a game that almost never was? seriously so many games regardless of selling or not selling well disappear for many reasons be thankful this is not one of them. let me list a few of my favorite games that did sell well that may never get sequels; Jade Empire, Kotor, Battlefront, smugglers run, shenmue, XIII, darkwatch, x-men legends, etc. its irreverent if a game sells well, sometimes games just dont get made. so stop complaining and either buy the game...
i like it coming from an hardcore halo fan, 343i is taking halo in the right steps to evolve the series so as to not feel played out.
