i mean it didn't even need the x-men brand to add extra pressure to making the game fall short of being acceptable. it was really the fact it was a generic game with the x-men brand and nothing about the gameplay or story was appealing to x-men or superhero fans.

who cares if some ip's last forever, thats usually because the developers created a universe that fans don't want to leave. for example im a star wars fan, always will be idc how many things they do in the universe i always want more. and in gaming places like the metroid, zelda, mario, halo, sonic, etc universes always have more to offer to fans.

because its a gaming console...plus im not addicted to facebook or twitter so i could stand not checking or using either while im gaming. now ask me about netflix or hulu and i will admittedly say i am addicted, sometimes choosing one of the two over playing a game.
With the ever growing list of sequels, spin offs, and HD releases of some current generation titles, it appears as if developers are winding down on new ip’s. however that may be a broad statement given the fact Sony has been announcing new ip’s for the ps3, so I expect a bi more longevity for the ps3, so I doubt Sony is rushing to push the next playstation console out of the door. With Microsoft on the other hand, it does seem they are probably looking to release a new console in 2013 or 201...
its seems about that time, iv'e had an Xbox360 since 2005, its now 2012 going on 2013, an 8 year run is a good life span for a console. i'm not really asking for a next generation console right now, just because i still have a list of games i would like to play from 2012 continuing into 2013. i wont mind an upgrade as long as the next xbox allows backwards compatibility, so i can still finish up my list of games but on a newer console while trying out next gen games as well. hopefully...
yes, but i think co-op will be more of the game design in focus, rather than the played out versus modes we've seen tacked on to every game imaginable. not to say i think power house fps war fighters will go away, but just think how quickly modern warfare came out of nowhere, i think a title can disappear just as fast when a new generation starts and new ip's are offered. last gen was plagued with WWII titles, this gen its been modern wafare, next gen who knows?
had been a fan of the original movies,a few of the games here and there, but just finished prometheus last week..can't wait for this game! looks great although, i wish had the wiiu so i could use the gamepad as a tracker, ugh hurry up smart glass lol.

false COD sells 2 to 1 on 360, im not a fanboy but third party games tend to sell a lot better on 360, i only plat my ps3 for exclusives.
like i've been saying although Sony has far more, and sometimes far better exclusive games; when it comes for these games to actually sell, these games fall flat on their face. if resistance 3 had been a third party title it would have sold a lot better on the xbox360 and would have brought more support to these games. i still feel that a lot of sony's exclusive developers should go multiplatform, its only hurting them.
this brings me back to my point that although sony is a great company, some games like starhawk under preform on the console. whereas if this game would have been released on the xbox360, people would have bought this game in droves considering the audience of xbox360 doesn't have a game similar to this. these guys were great developers, hope the laid off find work in the future.
agreed, i have the exact same story mate. gaming is an industry that either requires originality or competition to offer the best to gamers.
ESPN's NFL 2K5 was phenomenal. Madden is so stagnant its embarrassing that they still ship the game with a $60 price tag.. Hopefully this exclusivity will end sometime soon. For proof that 2K would do a much better job making a NFL game, just look at 2K's NBA series and how its quality was so much superior to EA's NBA Live that EA stopped the NBA Live series.
