the release of Halo 3 will mark the biggest release ever in video game history. There are already more preorders for Halo 3 than the entire install base of PS3 worldwide.
Halo is a name people that don't play games know. Overall worldwide recognition of Halo 3 will be a phenomenon that no other video game release will be able to match, bar none.
is more interesting than that one. Not saying that the 360 doesn't have great games coming out. But everything on that list was pretty much a given.
The thing I always liked about E3 were the suprises that caught everyone off guard.
Don't you realize that Japan is Sony territory. Yet the Wii is outselling it almost 7 to 1. Not to mention that PS3 is only outselling 360 3 to 1 in sonys home territory.
This is nothing but bad news for Sony. Based on their past history they should be king in Japan. 4 weeks under 10k in Japan is nothing short of an embarrassment for Sony.
With Nintendo crushing them in Japan. And the 360 and Wii closing the vice in the US and Europe is there really anywhere e...
I'm sorry I can't sugarcoat everything to appease the masses like you. The funny thing about it is that I actually own a PS3 as well as a 360 and a Wii.
I'm sorry if I feel the need to take a stand and call BS when I see it. I have been a gamer for quite some time and I am also a fan of technology. But I am sick of Sony's overhyping of their products.
The simple fact is if the PS3 20 times the power of the PC and capable of all these great things you would hav...
version yet again. With its highly advanced more powerful GPU. It has been shown time and time again that the RSX just can't compete with the Xenos.
This is yet another trophy to add to the virtual landslide of games that are graphicly superior on the 360.
Not to mention the 360 has an architecture that is optimized for game coding that leads to smoother overall framerates and generally better overall game performance including online functions.
Kutaragi tried to interest Jobs in adopting the Cell microprocessor, which is being developed by IBM for use in the coming PlayStation 3, in exchange for access to certain Sony technologies. Jobs rejected the idea, telling Kutaragi that he was disappointed with the Cell design, which he believed would be even less effective than the Power PC.

on any of my video game consoles. So I guess I can believe the statistics in this article. It wares out the drive a lot faster.
I think most tech junkies would prefer a standalone unit for their electronics setup.
posted on this website every day. How is this considered news. I am well aware that Microsoft has hardware issues.
If these issues were as bad as fanboys acted like they were Microsoft would have had a class action lawsuit on their hands well over a year ago.
I think that this failure rate issues is nothing but a desperate attempt for Sony fanboys to have something negative to harp on the 360.
It isn't going to hinder 360 sales and I'm sure Microsoft is...
Most consumers bought the PS2 when it was priced at $200 dollars, and on top of it it had a huge games selection.
Brand loyalty will only get you so far. This generation the roles bw Sony and Microsoft seem to be reversed. With 360 having the better price and more of a games selection.
I'm sure PS3 sales will pick up this holiday season but not to the extent of it making a massive comeback. The 360 has a bevy of triple AAA games coming out as well as PS3.

with an RPG made by the creator of Final Fantasy. Blue Dragon will be a classic example of a turned based JRPG.
The PS3 isn't selling well. All you have to do is look at any monthly hardware totals, and the numbers for Sony are nothing short of abysmal.
Whether you like PS3 or not is really irrelevant. The system just isn't selling.
With 360 outselling it 3 to 1, and Wii 5 to 1 in some areas doesn't really paint a rosy picture for Sony.
Ramping up production really has nothing to do with sales. If supply exceeds demand it isn't good. Basic economics teac...
looks freaking amazing. This will be Game of the year in my opinion.
look great. Actual gameplay looks choppy. I would say average. Hopefully it will be more polished before release.
Still looks fun though. I'll probably pick it up.
looks like a must purchase on my list.
my point is their reasoning behind why rumble was not included, which was a bold faced lie.
And to make your argument look even worse the PS3 was delayed over 6 months bc of Blu ray.
say this game looks so great when no one has seen it. This is all crap. I have not seen one screenshot or trailer of what this game actually looks like.
It's all just hype and it is pretty pathetic. Crysis is the best looking FPS I have ever seen. I have to highly doubt that the PS3 will surpass a $5000 dollar gaming PC in the graphics department.
If you believe otherwise you are nothing but a sad marketing tool.
you're such a tool. How about Sony ripped me off and lied to me by saying rumble wasn't possible in sixaxis, and it was so last gen.
And now I have to replace all of my controllers bc of it.
Okami is a great game. It is too bad that Clover Studios has been disbanded.
I really feel that if Okami was given a chance to really take off, it could give the Zelda franchise a run for its money.
It isn't like it is not common knowledge that the 360 gets the better version of games, being strictly a "games" console.
PS3 fans just need to face reality. The 360 is a developer friendly games machine. PS3 is not. Not to mention that the 360's GPU is far more advanced than the one in the PS3.
Developers can get far more out of the 360 in a fraction of the time it would take for them to get the same results on PS3. Which means that games developme...
And with HD content only making up 2% of the dvd market, cheap HDDVD players will definately give HDDVD an edge.
Not to mention that Wal-mart sells about half of all dvds sold in the industry. With sales of HDTVs on the ups, cheap HDDVD players will definately be attractive at a low $199 price point.
As history has shown with the Wii, price can be an overwhelming determining factor in hardware success, regardless of the Tech specs.
