This whole price cut thing was a scam by Sony to get rid of the 60 gig models. So basicly price will be $599 again after stock is gone. Not a good move IMO. Read link.

And for the previewer to say this game pretty much "is" Final Fantasy is one of the biggest compliments I think anyone could give it.
Sony is mainly worried about an increase in American sales. Seeing as how Europe, Japan, and now Australia don't receive the price cut.
I guess that makes sense bc that is where 360 sales are the strongest.
A lot of casual gamers aren't hardcore like us on N4G. I feel these casual gamers outnumber us.
Only time will tell but I haven't seen any signs of the Wii slowing down. Just look at DS sales to give it some perspective.....It is basicly just an N64.
So obviously to most casuals tech specs don't matter too much.
Customers would be willing to pay a high price to have a lot of AAA games.
No flame, but you have to realize it is true bc time and time again I hear PS3 fans stating what great titles they are "waiting" for.....and then usually a list follows KZ2, MGS4, FF13, GT5, Heavenly Sword..etc. etc.
I realize these games are coming, just not out yet.

I know PS3 sales are up....I just thought I read this story about Amazon yesterday.
looks good, but that video quality wasn't very high. Hopefully they will release some HD vids.
but I feel bad for European gamers. It seems like they always get the shaft.
Consoles are more expensive and get released later, games come out later, online store games come out later.....Pretty much everything...
I feel for you guys. Hopefully more games and systems wil see wordwide releases more often.
I am most looking foward too. I am glad they dropped the WW2 setting. That is getting really stale with all the other clones out there.
Infinity Ward always makes the better Call of Duties. They made part 2 and now this one.

but the Playstation3s architecture is way different than a PC.
With that said games are always developed first on PC then put on their respective dev kits.
With 360s architecture being very similar to the PC development is quick and easy. Shorter development time and less money to get good results.(especially with the XNA tools) Practical for third parties bc 360 has the highest install base. For maximization of profits.

Twisted and scary. All the trailers of it look really nice.
thought Turok was a cool game. The cerebral bore is one of the coolest weapons in a FPS.

it will put 360s starting price ar $199 making it cheaper than the Wii.
I think this is what they will do sometime this year. The PS2 sold 75% of it's units at that price. I expect it could be the same for 360.
History has shown that price is an important driving factor. Just look at the Wii and DS. Once 360 reaches this $199 pricepoint is when it will really take off.
