Of coarse they are, but imo not in a negative way. I was a console only game til I bought my first gaming pc in Aug. I've played pc games before but couldn't get into them because I'm not use to the M&KB setup. Now pretty much every pc game I play has controller options with out the need for software. This wasn't the case many years ago. Steam has "achievements" of there own. Friends list, all kinds of console like features. So imo yes consoles effect pc gaming ...

I don't really care for the gamer score but I love that sound achievements make when u unlock them. I never really got into trophies. Honestly I'm glad both systems have them and can't see gaming without them. (Looking at you Wii u!!)

What amazes me about your comment is that you only seem to want people to play Sony games and not other games in general. Basically you want people to only experience ps3 software...
..I wish I knew what made nin decide to release a current gen console (graphically) at the end of the current generation? Seems mind boggling that they wouldn't release the Wii u back in 07. I'm losing faith in the Wii u. I haven't played it since MH 3 dropped. Even my 7 yr old daughter won't touch it! Now that's bad...
If u ask me the Wii u is about 7 years to late. And before anyone starts calling me a troll I bought two Wii u systems day one and will jump on MH3 with anyone to prove it
i highly doubt nin will do anything about this. look at the wii, and ds. they both are easy to hack and neither require u to void your warranty to do so. despite what some people may think, i believe once the wii u can be hacked with software it will no doubt increase the sales of the system. the psp is a perfect example of hacking helping the system. im not in favor of pirating but not fully against it. i buy my games either way it goes. wait til theres a working hack for the vita...it will ...
