Where and on what someone spends there money doesn't affect you, so why do you care when someone buys a PS3? But when I come here looking for gaming news etc., having to sift through your bias and useless comments does affect me, so thats why I rip on you fanboys.

Although Beta is video broadcast format, not a very fast data transfer medium for code etc., So it becomes less funny when you actually know something on the subject fanboy. Wallmart has plenty of Blu-ray discs for sale, in fact the 3 Wallmarts around me have a little more Blu-ray than HDDVD (not a lot lot more, but more). Blockbuster is exclusive to Blu-ray now and the Blockbuster near me is currently expanding their Blu-ray section by about 5x (from approx. 3 ft of wall to 15 ft)
The format war is still very much in the air, with Blu-ray having a edge in Studio support (even with Paramount being paid by HDDVD) but HDDVD has the better price point on the stand alone players.

Actually, it looks like EA has done a lot with the physics etc. this year. NHL2K is confirmed to be running at 60fps though (and I believe 1080p but not sure). 1up's hands on preview of NHL08 says it runs at 60 but there are so many statements running around that its only 30fps (backed up by Madden 08), who knows. Its definitely going to be a hard decision on which one to get.

While I never saw the presentation, everything I have seen looks great to me. I imagine it wouldnt be the best game to watch someone play. I guess we will have to wait to see whats said by these sites after a full review. Full RPG's tend to have a much slower pace to them howver that doesnt necessarily make them boring to play.
I was never a huge first person shooter fan but when I got the PS3, there wasn't a whole lot of games out for it; and with all the hype around Resistance, I bought it and totally got into it. Killzone 2 seems to be taking it to another level and I really cant wait to get my hands on it. To look this good this far from release is unbelievable.
I agree, the majority of the sales spike was obviously due to the price drop, but had the Killzone 2 footage not shown as well as it did, and came as close to the 2005 trailer as it did, it would have really hurt the PS3's crdibility. So, it had to help.

Can you be prejedice against a product or company? I dont think prejedice is the right word. You can be bias against a companies products but its a real stretch to compare that to racism. Maybe if they hated Sony because they are Japenese but even that is probably more of a home field advantage sort of thing.
