Hardly important? As bad as Square is today, they still made some of the greatest games out there and they basically introduced JRPGs to North America. The FF franchise is even bigger than most other franchises today - maybe even the biggest out of all. 25 years they've lasted - and when you talk about FF a lot of people, even non gamers know about it. So again, I have no idea why you're saying it's not important. Only an idiot would say that....
It's for games that are cross playable. Madden is not cross playable - it is just available on both PS3 and Vita (as is Mortal Kombat, UMvC3, etc.). Only PS All-Stars and a few first party titles (Sly 4, Ratchet and Clank FFA)are currently confirmed to be cross playable. These games are the ones included in cross buy.
Nintendo - maybe, depends on how the Wii U plays out. I'm not so sure about Microsoft. Kinect will never be the future of video games
They just showed LBP2 being controlled by the Vita in gamescom. It's not remote play - it's like the Wii U controller tablet - you see more details on the Vita, but not the main game itself

It depends on how you define 'fun'. Heavy Rain is 'fun' in a different kind of way, and when David Cage he doesn't plan on making his next game fun, I'm sure it'll be similar to Heavy Rain.

I personally think that is more Kinect than 360. I have nothing against the 360 as a console, but it is pretty obvious Kinect is the reason 360's are still outselling the competition. And for good reason, since MS has left core gaming in pursuit of Kinect, and it has worked tremendously well. This is another proof MS is excellent at marketing. I really hope they go back to core gaming with the Xbox 720/Xbox 8
This list just reminded me of how FPS has taken console gaming by storm. Ridiculous amounts of FPS games out there.

Because smartphones and tablets are nothing compared to handheld consoles when it comes to core gaming. Plus not everyone carries these devices like they would a cell phone. You are taking the portability characteristic too literally.
To me personally, your statement should be flipped regarding tablets. There's no need for them. The same goes with the idea that smartphones will actually be better than the 3DS/Vita. Unless they design it the same way...

I loved Virtua Tennis, but as someone who lives in Canada, the NHL games of this gen (PS3, X360)are definitely the best ones IMO.
I guess not many people are interested in my personal most anticipated game - Persona 4 Golden. To add to that, Persona 4 Arena releases on Aug 7th as well.

I disagree. Squall is actually one of my favorite main characters. He underwent a transformation during the game and had a big influence on it as well, which is what main characters are supposed to do, not follow people around just for the thrill of it like Vaan in FFXII. It didn't matter that Squall was a jacka$$ at first. At least he had a personality and he wasn't boring.

Bundling is a good idea. But, they can't bundle the PSV with every game.
Consider dropping the price to $200 which then allows the $50 reduction to be used on ANY game the consumer wanted in the first place.
The point here is, even Nintendo, the king of handhelds, failed to make an impression with a $250 3DS. Once they dropped it to $180, sales jumped considerably.

At first, I thought it was really canceled. But then, every article that reported the rumor referenced Kotaku which started the rumor. I didn't read the entire post, but based on what I'm seeing it seems Kotaku didn't even have a credible source. I do applaud them for generating hits.
I got a 32GB for $70. Really good price if you ask me. Probly won't need another one ever.
You can also just use your PC as a form of storage which is what I used to do when I only had a 4GB. I would store some downloaded games on my PC whenever I got new ones to play. Then I just put them back in the memory card to replace other ones again. Yeah it's a hassle, but it's not like you play 5 games all the time right?
