i own both and i'm playing more on my xb1 for one simple reason both my HD are full and a 4tb external was much easier solution for my xb1 . i also prefer the controller and not getting interupted by having to charge to continue playing .
not sure either would be considered "Surprising"
@rainslacker indie devs putting games out as download only is fine when the games are small / bit size games but as these indies devs grow and start filling the void left by the closing of all the B level devs , they need to be held to the same standards of offering physical options , especially as the games grow in size and complexity . if people are truely committed to keeping physical copies around they have to be careful what ground they decide to give . in a year when AAA games are being...
guess it will happen like its happening on pc , one of the console makers will decide to throw their brick and mortar partners under the bus and do deep discounts on digital downloads (like steam) driving consumers to more digital causing less and less physical stores to carry more expensive boxed games . if people want physical copies to stick around buy them from physical stores whenever there is an option and avoid buying games that don't give you the option .
pooping all over n4g , disagree and tagging as trolling even the most reasonable even handed comments .
@Abash its certainly possible , i think if your going to do a permanant price drop with a redesign they would probably like to do it with the launch of a big game . but their market situation might force a early move .
lauched or announced ? i think announced at E3 with halo release date launch , with a permanent price drop that is announced a few weeks before it drops .
it does make me wonder if this game is A- a QTE crap fest or B- 5 or 6 hrs long
ps - this website is screwed up icheerbothconsoles if it considers your comment trolling , i'm with you i'm just a worried guy with a hard earned preorder .
did anyone really think ign was shutting down its most popular podcast
mine too , most fun i've had moving around a world since the original infamous .
i like that discoveries in the hacked SDK are now being called secret sauce by some , i don't claim to have the technical know how to know if its meaningful , but its at least real and interesting . if devs are happy and having an easier time , i'm happy .
xb1 had an amazing year of sales on the back of the worst PR disasters in gaming history , imagine what their sales will be as the slowly shake that monkey off their back .
fantasia and D4 take advantage of kinect , really fun games . personally i think even without the games kinect is really useful for multimedia , wouldn't want to be without it after using it for a year , i use it every day .
some very cool exclusives on both platforms on that list
if it becomes a bidding war for hello games and the no man's sky IP sony doesn't stand a chance , but this is extremely unlikely .
@Abash difference was ms wasn't in the bidding , according to report ms was interest in securing no man's sky as exclusive as well as sony . if it becomes about bottom line money sony can't hang with ms simple as that .
that is probably why they are putting it back up until their next batch of big games hit and they do another big push . don't want to be cheaper and out sold during sony's push with the order and BB.
i agree hype is not the problem , devs producing bad half baked games is the problem .
it was IGN , gamespot , giantbomb . unless that has changed in the last year with the massive layoffs at gamespot .
xb1 just easier
