No it doesn't, frame rates equal a better display but it doesn't make the gameplay any more satisfying or fun to play. Ppl aren't crying about frame rates cause it makes their games unbearable to play. We've been enjoying games for decades without 60fps, while of course I'd rather have a game that displays at 1080p and 60fps, that doesn't make it a better game then one that is 30fps and 900p. But that's just me, this generation has been extremely annoying, instead ...
Once I buy a 4k tv one day, I'll pounce on this console. Until then, I see no reason to own one if your tv can only display at 1080p.
Only complaint I have is why are games announced way too early? All it does is build excitement and impatience, yes we all enjoy getting hype about something but then comes the unbearable and inevitable wait. Were witnessing games being delayed at an alarming rate and I suspect it's because these games are being announced prematurely. Just go away and keep quiet until your games at most a year away.
here's the thing, I don't think the pro was ever intended to compete directly with Scorpio. The obsession with frame rates and resolutions are quite telling. Since when was this more important than gameplay, and story telling? I see more complaints about visual quality than anything else these days when a crap ton of games are just flat out boring.
I've said it before and ill say it again, give me xbox hardware with ps4 software, and I'm a happy man.

Why are we pinning this on PS? Of course they wont offer a trade in program but you can bet your bottom dollar retailers like Gamestop will.

Technically it is pointless from a consumers point of view, there's no need for the slim and pro to exist separately. They could have just combined the two consoles and released the slim with all the pros internals baked into the console (like MS did). However I understand why they didn't, when your brand is experiencing success at the rate that PS is right now, you'd rather give ppl another reason to spend their money on a product of yours.
