Magnificent game, top 5 this gen for sure so far.
Right now the games I seem to enjoy the most have been Japanese as of late. Zelda, P5, Nioh, Resident Evil 7, NieR Automata, and more. Some of the most iconic franchises have come from Japanese devs, like Mario, Zelda, MGS, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, and much more. Western games are also great but I'd rather lose a franchise like CoD, BF, or Overwatch before I lose Zelda, Mario, or FF.
My runner up so far for 2017. Spectacular game, this is coming from a new comer and someone who normally doesn't play JRPGs.
Idk maybe it's just me but I didnt get the same impression playing ISS that I got playing UC4, Horizon, or MLB. Ya GoW is over the shoulder like TLOU but how is it slapping another paint job on the same game? TLG, how is that game remotely similar to anything else from Sony's first party? What about Gravity Rush? What about GTS? Only thing they're missing is a killer FPS, but do we really need ANOTHER with so many already on the market?
Smh
Loved the first game so I'm stoked to see how they expand on the combat and the nemesis system. Looks good so far imo.
I think this gen we've really seen the shift in focus to MP focused games like Destiny, OW, The Division, BF, etc. Also this gen seems to be all about who can provide "true" 4k, so in a way I agree with the author. A lot of good games but only a handful of classics that'll go down as all time greats.
I love it personally! It has a nice design to it, and I would actually prefer to play a lot of games on it if I could simply because it's portable and available during any brief window u may get to play a game for a few minutes. Zeldas my GOTY and Marios my most anticipated title for the remainder of the year, not to mention I'm stoked at the thought of a mainline Pokémon game coming to the Switch. It's been a while since I've owned a Nintendo console but I'm in love ...
TLOU>UC2>UC3>UC4>U C1
I've always found this way of thinking odd. Don't u think if it's beloved by millions across the globe and its one of the most valuable franchises in the world, that it's more likely that you're under rating it?...
Word of advice. Never remake a super Mario game, imo that's sacred ground that's as off limits as the original Star Wars trilogy
Good for Liz. But no one else is talking about this game
The graphics are some of the best I've ever seen in an open world game, so that's a really odd complaint for him to make. But for me personally everything I've heard about the game sounds better than what they've shown. I just think with this type of game it's difficult to show off what could make it great in a 5 minute demo. It needs a long 20 minute gameplay trailer.
Not gonna do a top 50 but here's my top 5...
1. Persona 5
2. Uncharted 4
3. Horizon Zero Dawn
4. Bloodborne
5. NieR Automata
Doesn't look bad. Hasn't grabbed my attention yet but its not a bad looking game.
Its truly something special. I highly recommend it
XBOX is going to have superior multiplats but it's not a substantial enough upgrade for ppl to care. 4K hasn't exactly become something in nearly every household yet so it's already a tough sell for that reason, throw in the fact that most improvements will look marginal and that $500 price tag, and I think it's going to sell better than the Pro but still under 10 mil.
They aren't lying...
BoTW is my GOTY, just a magical game. P5 is a close second, my first Persona game and it was a joy from start to finish, all 110 hours of it! Lol
Destiny is one of my favorite games this gen so far, but the sequel so far does feel a lot like a large expansion. Its odd tho cause idk if I have a major problem with that, I loved the first game and just wanted more content and they claimed to have done that. We'll see when the game comes out but I was slightly disappointed with the beta, felt way too similar to a game I've already been playing since 2015. Doesn't feel fresh and like a new experience...
