If we got TLOU2 gameplay at E3 I'd totally expect a 2018 release. However I just don't see that happening, the game is in early development.
I expect another strong showing from Sony this year. It should be all about software this year and they have more than enough to show off. GoW, Spidey, Days Gone, Detroit, Ni No Kuni II, TLL, GTS, Sucker Punches new IP, and more. Not expecting TLOU2 until PSX at the earliest but Death Stranding I could see totally making an appearance.

SOCOM has the potential to be a huge series for Sony again. Mind boggling to me that they haven't put fourth one last effort to revive the franchise. It could be their huge 3rd person MP based shooter. Only do it if it's in capable hands of course, it would need a reinvention since to original studio is no longer around.

Feels like they're trying to make their games available across multiple platforms. I highly doubt we'd get Scorpio exclusives, and a massive install base imo would only further strengthen their belief that they don't need exclusives.
Their first party studios aren't as talented as Sony's so it's not as simple as just copying their success. I think their best chance going forward is to honestly move on from Gears and Halo and allow The Koalition and 343 to develop something they created and care deeply for. I don't think it would be all bad for them to just move on from two franchises that have brought them success for over a decade now.
But we all know Scorpio games will also be available on X1 and PC as well, so there won't be any true exclusives on the platform. Still, as I've said, I don't believe that's their aim. They want this console to be the place to get the best experience with 3rd party games like CoD, BF, Destiny, Madden, Overwatch, GTA etc.
They're clearly putting it all on the line with Scorpio, I don't think they'll release this console in 2017 without enticing software on it.

Yaaaaa, they'd have to announce a crap ton of exclusives to combat what Sony's putting out. I don't think that's their aim with Scorpio though, they just want Scorpio to be the place to experience 3rd party games, since that's what mainly sells consoles.

Let's wait until after E3 before saying Scorpio will have no games. But still, the fact still remains that the PS4 is killing it, I can't even say Nintendo has the GoTG anymore as I'm enjoying P5 just as much as I enjoy Zelda right now. And yet I still have a feeling that Sony's just getting started with game releases in 2017. Shuhei did say 2017 will be the year of great PS4 software, brace yourselves.
Would love gameplay and a release date for TLOU2 but there's just no way that's happening at this years E3. Also Sony has marketing rights for RDR2, so don't get your hopes up for it being shown off on Scorpio, same goes for BF2.
I agree. Zelda is up there for GOTG for me, but now that I'm playing Persona 5 it's arguably just as good imo. It's been a blast playing these two games back to back.
