I know that's why I'm curious to see what it turns out like, but what they've released so far IMO aren't very promising.

Curious to see how this game turns out, but I won't lie i'm a bit underwhelmed with it so far...
No surprise there, honestly there isn't much to justify a next gen purchase right now with most games being ports or just not that good if it is exclusive to next gen. But in about a year or two we'll start to see people forced to upgrade if they want to continue gaming. I just hope those games really put the ones out now to shame cause i've been underwhelmed. But if this gen is anything similar to last gen, we'll see some amazing projects in the next few years.

I wish, unfortunately they've been quoted saying they have no intentions in doing an AC game set in Asia somewhere. An AC game set in Feudal Japan would have been epic.
Agreed, I personally think were seeing a repeat of what happened last gen but with a different situation. The PS4 and X1 released at the same time unlike last gen but there is a price difference between the 2 like last gen. Even if the PS3 had released with the 360 I still think the 360 would have had a huge lead considering it was 200 dollars cheaper. I also disagree that the X1 is on it's last leg, there's still many games set to come soon that could be potential game changers for the X1. IMO the only way Sony can keep the pressure on MS and continue to run away with the crown is if they start putting out some great exclusives like we know they're accustomed to. I hope they don't expect people to just continue buying the PS4 at a 2/1 margin if the X1 receives a price cut, cause believe it or not that's the biggest sell...
Close? It's actually not as close as people were expecting it to be. Last we heard from MS about X1 numbers was that it was somewhere in the 4 million units sold mark, the PS4 is at over 6 mill since the beginning of March, that's before MGS and Infamous SS too which will definitely help push a few more units out the stores. Titanfall will definitely give it a boost but it's not the second coming of christ like everyone thinks it is, but it is an excellent game. Games getting solid reviews so far, but i'll be honest and say I was expecting it to get 10/10 across the board lol. I know that's kind of rare but with the hype train that's been going around I expected it, but still, the 9's and 8's it's been getting are solid scores. Definitely worth a pickup.
My exact thoughts when I saw the latest gameplay vids, my first impression was there's no way this is next gen visuals. It looked no better than as you mentioned, GTAV.
What I noticed in games is that they tend to make things look TOO shiny, this plane is an excellent example of that, the lighting could be a little better and there's just way too much gloss on this plane. I've seen it done to people in games, where they tend to make the skin look to shimmery, almost as if they have on a ton of baby oil, in real life things are normally not that shiny unless it's been waxed and has a brand new paint job, idk what it is but in real life colors just...
Can't wait to get my hands on Arkham Knight for PS4! Hopefully it'll truly be a next gen experience, while current gen games are more impressive than previous gen, I still haven't been blown away and fully introduced to a real next gen game. Bring it hard RockSteady!
Still very interested in this game but I am frustrated with how mislead I was by Ubisoft. Doesn't matter how many games your releasing if they're not cutting it sales wise. Sony was likely investing more money into the projects then they were getting back, therefore the studio responsible had to be shutdown. Doesn't matter who the studio is either, if ND made a few terrible games in a row you could bet your drawers they'd be shutdown.
You'd be one of the few that would be happy about Sony changing EVERYTHING about GoW...Why reboot and completely change a franchise that was so successful?
Good to know thanks. But if it has ps2 graphics I'll have to pass, I mean we've come so far in gaming that a great game play experience should not come at the price of poor graphics. But I know they have a small team, not trashing the game just stating I think I'll pass.
