I think that's a common misconception, that all gamers don't love sports, and all sports fanatics don't love games. I'm a diehard sports fan, not to the point where i'd watch ANY sport but I love football, basketball, baseball, boxing, mma, and Soccer, yet i'm just as passionate about games. Maybe i'm just unique, but i'd like to believe there are others in the world that enjoy both just as much.
No. A sport is an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment. Games where your required to actually move your entire body may be considered (wii), but even then I wouldn't call that a sport. Having actually played Basketball, Football, Lacrosse, and Baseball in my lifetime, playing any type of video game is not the same as physically competing with others. Eh most of these are very conservative, Imo if Sony is going to win this E3 they need to be unpredictable, and bring out some IP's that no one's really expecting. First I think GG's new IP will make an appearance which no one seemed to mention, yet one person believes another kill zone will be announced...Also I'm really hoping Sony Bend is there and announces their new game as well, let's just pray that it's Syphon Filter. UC4 I have a feeling will look amazing, along with The Order, Halo 5, and Quantum Break.
I think Sony should reach down into their bag of classic franchises and revive some of them. New IP's and revivals of some of these classics imo would really get things going at E3. Syphon Filter, Legend of Dragoon, The Getaway, and a few new IP's would be a winner imo.
I doubt they'd show just another teaser trailer, this games been in development long enough where they should be able to show a 2-3 minute gameplay trailer.

Exactly, I understand people want old franchises to return, but unless it did very well when it started, Sony won't rist bringing it back. You have to think of this from a business stand point, why take the risk of bringing something back if it's not projected to sell well.
I'm unsure about how much Sony is investing into the VR Headset but my guess is millions, if so I think it would have been wiser to invest that money elsewhere, like opening more studios or buying 2nd party studios. I think eventually they will end up buying RaD but I think they probably could have opened up another 1st party studio. While Jak is an excellent game, I think it's really wishful thinking to believe that ND would go back to making games like this. The way they've adapted and the kind of games their creative minds like to make these days doesn't exactly give me hope that they'd ever go back to an animated franchise like Jak n Daxter.
I've learned to keep my expectations low for E3, so with that in mind all Sony really needs to do to have a successful conference is give us an in depth look at The Order with like a 10 minute gameplay segment. Show us a 2-3 minute trailer of UC4 answering some of the bigger questions fans want answered. I think they'll have the responsibility of taking over the KZ franchise, SF was good but not up to par with KZ 2&3 imo, Mercenaries was arguably the best game in the franchise and it was developed by Cambridge, so if they are indeed taking over i'm excited about where the game could go.
