Im a PC Gamer with no console or alleigance so I look at console news objectively. I don't see why some people get upset. One bad thing does not make their console bad, every platform has downsides and upsides. I can name them for xbox, ps3 and wii.
I think all multiplatform devs will prefer the easier choice :)
Devs are not lazy :S They actually work a lot harder than other parts of the computer industry and a lot dont get paid as much.
Well that was a good day, creation kit, hi res textures, workshop and a valve mod :D
not to mention piracy is not stealing its copyright infringements. I believe with both used games and piracy that yes you lost a potential customer, but would he have bought the game at full price if he couldn't pirate or buy used. If no then you don't have a problem. If the majority would have then we have a problem.
PC does not have generations. "next gen console games ALWAYS look better than pc games of the previous generations" No they dont. Consoles do not make there own tech that is greater than PC's at the time. They just take a cheap chip and mass produce. This only means that console ports will look better.
Lol at your use of revolutionary. "Creating artwork games" Been done loads. "Photorealism" Not really. "multiplayer with 256 players per map" 1000 players is the most recorded on PC and it just won the guiness world record. "Non Controller family games" Wii. Uncharted/KZ2 "Revolutionary ARTSTYLE" technicaly its a 720p game with low res textures. LBP "first play, create, share ON CONSOLES" Pc has been doing this since its birth.
@Piroh, no they are not. Most PC gamers are playing skyrim and that is a fact that can be proven by looking at steams stats. Your also wrong about your reason that devs make console ports its simply about the money. Casual gaming is the biggest market, then console and then PC.
Witcher 1 to 2. Have a look at the differences and you say PC games arent eveolving.
I doubt that renaming something stopped the store from working. First of all they would rename it in an offline build and only upload when its finished.
Lol kingdoms of amalur is not even coming on PC according to the list.
so does every game, pong, snake. However ammount of content and user generated content help alot
DRM is to keep good people good. As the witcher 2 showed it is extremly tempting for people to just download and hit play. If you make it slightly harder to pirate, the numbers drop significantly. There will always be piracy
Yes but you cant say he is wrong, These are cinematic screenshots as they were taken from a floating camera and not a game camera.
Witcher 2 is my favourite RPG of last year and I have preordered Kingdoms of Amalur as it looks like a Fable game that does not suck. Im looking at fable 2 and 3 here.
Then don't buy it. Activision will never let the developers change CODs formula unless they start loosing money. Im proud to say that I have not supported this development stratergy with MW3.
I don't know about MW3 as i have not bought it (and dont plan to) but I also felt disapointed with BF3, I still play it occasionaly with firends but I prefer Bad Company 2
Steam, gamersgate and greenmangaming do the best deals. They even have some atm.
Well done, makes me wonder though how many people are buying multiple consoles. As they continue to sell more and more each year.
Its not impossible, look at this http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
Oh so thats how it became the most played game of steam for months :S
