The author is using the Wii U owners as a parallel, as Dementium and Moon, two of their previous games (really good, BTW), were originally on DS, so Nintendo owners were the first to know about this. Also, Cult County was supposed to come to the 3ds.
On the other hand, the title seems to put all the blame on Wii U owners, which I find idiotic as the game has the PS4, PS3, PS Vita and Xbox One as launch platforms, aside the Wii U.
Giving my personal reason: I have no Wii U (yet), and I have no money (which brings me back to my first problem). That's basically it.
The fact that other people have not backed it, I have no idea why. Maybe it's the lack of information that's holding back the funding.
I hope the project gets funded (at this pace, I don't know how, but a man can dream), so everyone can enjoy it.
Well, let me help you with the insight. It could help bump the hardware sales, but it will detriment the software sales.
Nintendo and whoever makes games for the console will have their games hacked, and pirated, so they would not see income from that. They'll lose some money, and any 3rd party left will see more risk in making games for the console. So, in the long run, it's not a good idea.
Well, I think if F-Zero could return, even without an innovative new trick, now's the time. We had no entry on Wii, so F-Zero has been dormant for an entire generation.
I'm dying to see a new F-Zero, in HD, and of course, at the usual 60fps, with online gaming. It would be a good thing to see. But I guess it's just a matter of hoping at this point.
In the best of their interests, Nintendo's E3 presentation must rock this year. The big guns must be showed at that moment. It could be the ace under their sleeve.
Umm... let me see...
Texas, check.
Vague definition of patent, check.
The fact that these guys have already tried to sue Nintendo with the DS, DS Lite, DSi, 3DS, and 3DS XL back on January, plus the the 2 other above....
They don't learn. These kind of people just don't learn.
Interesting. I was almost cetain Atari was in bad shape, but its good to see they're still standing. I hope to see more of this title.
That's Rayne, allright. Well, nice to see this series return (or at least, that's what they're trying).
Well, this is something noteworthy! Now I'm getting excited for this game as well!
This is so true. One second I'm like 1/4 of lap ahead of the guy in second place, and suddenly, a Spiny Shell. And even when I'm able to get to 1st place again, someone has already got the damn shell again... They should have nerfed it for MK8, but judging from the gameplay videos, it'll work the same as MK7. T.T
As much as I'm fond of Retro's work on Metroid, Sakamoto is partially responsible of the original Metroid formula. Super Metroid is the proof.
Metroid Other M was not what was expected, but that was mainly in the story department (basically, that was the greatest downgrade). The gameplay wasn't that bad (the analog stick was a more logical step, tough) and can be reworked to be better.
As Metallox said, the heart was there. It just needs some fixi...
Damn, this looked so good! Such a shame...
Well, it's already coming, but I guess it doesn't hurt to cheer along.
Gol-den-Sun! Gol-den-Sun!
Not really. It's just that some people that want to fight with only their skills prefer this setup. A plain terrain and no help from items allows the player to try to fully utilize their characters' abilities, hence it's prefered for more competitive gameplay (as in tournaments).
I'd add all the Megaman Zero and Battle Network games. Boktai would be a big plus, as well.
Damn, they had to show Majora's Mask! Now I can't stop thinking about a 3ds version, like we had with Ocarina...
OT, this is anicely done work. It still amazes me that people are able to miniaturize (or something like that) the consoles of old to bring them in the portable realm. Kudos to this guys.
Nice to see this kind of news! That software is incrdible (really, those lights and reflections on the lens...). Hope it's properly used on the Wii U (maybe Nintendo themselves could use it at some point?).
I wish I could agree with you in LOL_WUT case, but he's been trolling aorund for a long time. He has constantly flipped, and most of the time his comments tend to be sarcastic. Even if he was sincere, he's made a reputation already, so it's hard not to take his comments a trolling. I may be wrong on this one, but that's my stance.
A new IP sounds great! I doubt it's Miyamoto's next IP, but knowing something new is coming from Nintendo is nice.
So, only Wii U owners are to blame? That's what he's asking, I guess.
