Umm... I see a pattern here. Sakuari is bringing back, at least in this form, characters from old/forgotten Nintendo franchises, to give them a chance to shine again. Well, Sakurai said that Smash is a celebration to Nintendo's history. Takamaru was shown earlier, so this kind of things are good. Who's next? Lip form Panel de Pon? Mike from Star Tropics? Mach Rider?
Well, the game is still home console exclusive to Wii U in Japan, except for the Vita version. Maybe it's because of that?
Nah. Probably it was a mistake on Matt Ryan's part. The only reason Rayman has a trophy is because Nintendo holds the console distribution rights to Rayman Legends in Japan, making it exclusive for Wii U there (although Ubisoft publishes the japanese Vita version). Beyond that, I don;t see the why the trophy was included, but I could be wrong.
Yes, these tracks are probably on the game, if that's what you're asking.
Ummm.. maybe they plan to bring him back somehow? Maybe a new game? .... A man can dream, right?
Damn... I really hoped Takamaru could make the cut. But we have two ninjas on the game, and too many sword fighters already. Then again, is nice to see Sakurai give him recognition. Hoping to gets a Little Mac upgrade in the next one.
There are only two possible explanations to the conception of this article:
1) He's misinformed, which is (should be) a no-no in journalism.
2) He's smoking something really strong.
Really? Captain Falcon is an obscure character? Bulls**t character? Come on!
Kill yourself. I'll help you if you want. Nothing would make me happier.
Damn, what a thing to happen... Hope they're able to solve this problem soon.
HAHAHA! Thanks for the laughs, sonny. Made my day. Have you considered a career at comedy?

Really, take it as an advice. It'll help you in the future.
The ones he named are console exclusives. Those you mention are not exclusive, and probably are on "Third parties and Indies", by his list.
Not like you have to do much to update a pink ball with red shoes. Still, it looks great.
Colors are not the issue. It's the "multi-colored team of warriors with giant robots that fight monsters" concept behind Sentai/Power Rangers series. To this date, the Sentai teams have used almost all colors. For example, the Kyorygers:

Well, what a bummer...
Yes, it is published by Nintendo, as they also co-own the franchise. So, it'll remain exclusive to Wii U for a long while, if not forever.
I only hope it comes to west. A good game library needs at least one horror game, and this game is one for the grab.
I'd add some Wonderful 101 to that mix.
@herbs
That would be true, if the ROM/ISO he's emulating came from his owned copy of the game. Whoever is emulating a downloaded ROM or ISO has downloaded and is using an unauthorized copy form someone who's not respecting the copyright. You can have a copy, as long it's for personal use, and not for distribution to others.
Yeah, it would be nice to have those games on the go, as well. I'd like to play Metroid Fusion on the 3ds, more than on the Wii U.
Yes, I know. A well deserved spot for Pit, I believe. It did wonders for his series (Uprising is just that good).
