Wow. You actually think this happened because they failed? Look, you do realize how difficult getting 360 games to run took, right? Of course not. You're an armchair developer who thinks they know everything. To you Microsoft just woke up one day and boom they had backwards compatible.
You're saying they did all that in one year, plus work on the much harder achievement of getting original Xbox games working shortly after. This had to be planne...
You know you can fix it to where it'sin the same launcher, right? It can show up in your Steam library even though you bought it from another storefront.
It's $10 cheaper than what Valve was pricing it. Valve is the one crying over the fact if people like Epic's prices then they'd stop using Steam. That is all this is. It's not about honoring customers. It's about them wanting their bottom dollar.
How about do something that Epic won't do. Put their games on other PC digital stores? Hm. Valve still doesn't do that. They want to talk about unfair. Start letting people know that they can work with other stores like GOG, regardless if they own their own games.
Good on NetEase. Quantic Dreams is a great studio for storytelling. I enjoyed Heavy Rain for what it was, but I prefered Beyond: Two Souls and their earlier game, Indigo Prophecy. Haven't played Detroit: Become Human. Can't wait to see what they can do with other consoles.
Marvel's Spider-Man and GOW had similar days before the embargo lifted.
Yeah. If they break embargoes, then reviewers and the site could be in some serious trouble. I've had my fair share of those before from publishers. Not a smart thing to do.
Up for round two in the gaming sphere, I see Apple. Let's only hope that it is just subscription service and not another attempt like their overpriced console, the Apple Pippin. Bombed so hard. It didn't even last two years. Or, even past a few months. 😂
Especially when consoles are just plastic boxes.
But they found a way. It's insane the way some think. It's very tribal in nature. People act like this was forced when the dude is the one interested in joining. Doesn't matter if it's Microsoft, Sony, or Nintendo. Developers and designers do this a lot.
I agree. It would be on that scale. As Ausbo said though, whether it's good or not, we'll have to wait and see.
ILostMyMind - So it's Microsoft's fault for him choosing to take the job now? Wait, did Microsoft suddenly kidnap him and force him to come work for them? No. He's a grown man. He choose to go there. This has nothing to do with them trying to be like Sony.
Your username fits you because you have lost your mind, fanboy. This can only be a good thing for all gamers. Microsoft should be allowed to do better. If he wants to work with them, then that's his decisi...
On what platform is this Resident Evil 3 Remastered Edition? Oh wait, there wasn't one. Nevermind Resident Evil 2, which we just got. Clearly, you have no clue what you're talking about, Darthv72.
Easy traffic and some like enjoyment seeing someone do stupid stuff.
Actually, Tomb Raider: Legend had third-person shooter cinematics down a year before Uncharted was released. In fact, that's what sparked the whole fanboy war between both sides with Tomb Raider fans claiming Uncharted stole stuff from their game first.
People could say it started even before that with Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, but nobody really cares to include that in anything.
Keep breaking street dates. You're only be hurting yourself when you wonder why publishers are telling their distributors to hold back releasing hard copies to some stores in time for the launch.
It's only a matter of time before their push digital only. Mom n pop stores are already hurting from this and publishers are going to get sick of having their games break street date.
Read the article. It says it's coming to consoles and PC in April.
Because the world believes everything revolves around Sony. If Sony can't have their classic console a success then nobody should. That's the mindset of people.
Even when you buy The Last of Us: Remastered Edition you still had the online Multiplayer weapons, perks and abilities locked behind a pay wall that you had to buy separate if you want the full experience.
I remember some fans being angry and the studio didn't buckle and told people it's because cost of development was high. A dumb answer even when Naughty Dog could have put everything in one package for the Remastered Edition, but still didn't.
Wait, are we Pro-IGN now? Seemed everyone was attacking them not too long ago. Oh, it's only okay when it's about something in common. Crackdown 3. Gotcha. Flip-floppers.
