Here's to hoping they include a full story next time, that truly makes the player feel like they're accomplishing something meaningful.
Actually, here's to hoping Destiny 2 is a huge improvement in every respect.
Ha, funny.
But seriously, it'd be stupid to cut down a tree over the issue. They'd most likely just take his name off it again. :P
Yeah, I see some people are jumping the gun as usual and saying the expansion content was held back from the main game to milk our wallets later because... well, isn't evidence overrated anyway? :P
I'm looking forward to this. I loved Bloodborne and I'm not gonna complain about more of it.
Honestly, who didn't expect this after their Bayonetta 2 review?
I was thinking of giving them a little credit for arguing that several female characters were legitimately-written despite their criticisms, even though the subject was overwrought in the review regardless, but they inanely spin even their praise into essentially calling the game hypocritical and two-faced.
But whatevs, I'm not giving Polygon any more of the time of day than this deserve...
The score isn't the important bit here, especially compared to other games. It's the reasoning behind it.
There's like 8 paragraphs that primarily talk about the portrayal of women characters. I'm completely unsurprised after their Bayonetta 2 review.
As interesting as that would be, I don't expect Ubisoft to drop AC until the IP is milked dry.
^ I think the campaign mode would also benefit from unique elements that help it stand out. Things like boss battles come to mind.
I've noticed that change in sentiment toward SP and MP, as well. Common mindset seems to have shifted a bit from being against all-in-one, to more pro-SP and anti-MP in general.
Didn't even need to click the link to know what the easter egg was about. :P
Part of me thinks they should just focus on the multi-player modes, and maximize the features and quality there.
On the other hand, Titanfall's unique mechanics could make for a great single-player, too. Hmm...
I'll have to try this game sometime. I don't mind repetition, as long as the exploring remains interesting and the progression feels satisfying. This sounds like that kind of game.
What's even the point of these kinds of arguments? The political wings always looking to cut each other down and disparage one another, instead of respect each other and get along, is one of the huge problem in politics.
Two sides going "No, WE'RE better than you!" and "No, YOU'RE the problem!" is not an attitude that a nation can run itself on, no matter how the qualities and blame are actually distributed. It's destructive and makes both ...
Predictably, spinning everything into an antagonistic, exaggerated, and one-sided narrative doesn't help solve society's problems. In fact, it just makes new ones as all potential for progress drowns in resentment and excuses.
Feminists and SJWs are not the only ones guilty of this, and that's why I can't get on board with their similarly angry and whiny opposition either. Both of those perspectives are rotten, extremist attitudes.
I feel like...
It's true that it should have been in the game in the first place, but get mad at the mistake and not the band-aid.
We only get one console Mario Kart game per generation, and the DLC has so far been good value for the price, so I'd be for it.
You and I think alike. This is the perfect opportunity to to get some proper battle arenas.
It'll be nice to see classic 3D platformers make a return with this. They've been mostly absent last generation, and never on the scale of Banjo Kazooie/Tooie.
That pre-Kickstarter hype did this game a lot of favors; they've utterly blasted through all their goals, and now all that's left is one final one and extra polishing funds after it. Really glad to see this doing so well.
I think The Evil Within resonates better if you don't treat it like a horror game, ironically. It does have plenty of rough edges, but the game does do a good job throwing lots of diverse gameplay scenarios at you, giving the player lots of unique tools to work with, and delivering intense boss fights. It's well-paced and the campaign is pretty meaty compared to most similar games these days.
As a true horror game The Evil Within rings kinda fake, but I think it's...
All the complaints from the review:
- Game is a time-sink and requires commitment.
- Dialogue tempo is "slow" (they probably mean stilted and laggy conversations, not uncommon in RPGs).
- Many cut-scenes, and pretty long ones. Feels like a movie, they said.
- Gameplay systems lack explanations.
Just presentation and tutorial issues. Frequent and long cut-scenes are also no surprise if you've played Xenogears, plus it does...
The complaints from the actual content of the reviews I've been hearing are 'too many movies' and 'gameplay systems not explained enough'.
Nothing particularly concerning, especially if you've played and liked Monolith's past works, it seems.
Why? The only alternative is to leave the game as is, which you say isn't satisfactory to you. The game does feel like a complete and full experience as is, despite its relative shortcomings to the Souls games, so I see no reason to feel cheated.
