Mould-breaker: ArmA II. Seriously, no other FPS has come close to what that game has done, giving you an open world, set objectives, resources for airlifting out, etc.

I don't think this author's message is that pirates are victims too, but more like a message to the gaming industry to get its head straightened and out of the clouds. He's just telling a thought about how when a game does poorly, instead of trying to examine themselves and their qualities put into the game, they just look at piracy and torch it.
