GTS 460 managed to run the alpha beautifully, and even with the changes for the final product I still have faith in the thing.

That wouldn't be possible because it would be OFFLINE. As in: NO INTERACTION WITH THE MULTIPLAYER ELEMENTS. It cannot go online. Everything offline stays offline.
Would you please re-read my comment and the article. A hacker would not be able to do that and even if they could, the Blizzard server would detect such inconsistency/hack in the game and would easily end the ban of said hacker.
Its kinda funny that some gamers don't consider those who do not want to play with others or be a part of some "economy", even disregarding those who can't afford a well-enough broadband connection or those who are rarely in reach of an internet connection.
I absolutely agree with everything John has wrote, because it is truly ridiculous. Not being able to pause and being sent back to checkpoints if there's a hiccup in your internet or their server, also...
The game's potential will not be realized until 64 players come together and fight.

Although I enjoy them (the earlier ones much more than later ones), they are behind dozens of games when it comes to quality of campaign.
Hopefully they'll conclude Modern Warfare series with this one, but I highly doubt it.

That's fuggin' awesome. Love that ship and the hanger is definitely big enough to host a most bad-ass LAN game of Battlefield 3.
My only complaint would be continuity. Did the original character have that big of breasts? If so, I'm good with it.

Modern Warfare 2 never entered my library. The same will go for this one.
Uncharted series does have some great graphics and I might prefer the color scheme they got, but I'll take BF3 over the game as a whole any day.
