polygon is by far the worst in terms of bias, kotaku can't be taken seriously whomever their in favour with and IGN while they do try do gloss over the differences between the consoles if you ignore the content they put out for mainstream and just follow the content that is put out by the xbox and the ps4 editors you can still get some good info they will however always try to make it out like both consoles are equal

sony has done way more effective advertising in that they generate so much hype using methods that cost very little like a youtube teaser vid here and there the emails they send out to everyone, twitter etc.. also arguably the biggest amount of hype this gen cost nothing at all just capitalising on their competitor's mistakes at E3. displaying supercars and decorating big warehouses does nothing to reach audience world wide it just gives a good impression to the people attending
"fixed hardware specs?" WTF??! they promised 10 years of gaming with th 360 and look how they gave up on that half way through the only content it was getting was half arsed sequels of halo,forza or gears and kinect shovelware. at one point the most exciting thing on the 360 was the pizza hut app that's how sad it has gotten so don't hold your breath on a 10 year life cycle it can barely manage launch games.
SOE has some presence in china already planetside was present at a Chinese convention back when it was being launched they won't dominate china with their console (only because its so goddamn large) but they will certainly be able to sell enough to make it a significant and large market. they would be able to sell about as much as they would a regular European country initially

i think 60fps is much more vital to gameplay in shooters than res is. i would be more angry is my game couldn't manage 60 fps than if it couldn't manage 1080. people come up with all sort of bullshit like "the eye can't see past Xfps" and "25fps is the standard in cinema we were fine with that" all of that is complete and utter bull certain games are unplayable at 30. once console gamer finally get to experience this they won't look back
no it was confirmed to be running at native 900p the resolution they show at the back is the OUTPUT resolution so it fits to your screen the native resolution is the resolution the game renders in which is 900p. it has to be upscaled to 1080p so it can fit in people's screen since no tv supports 900p if they didn't upscale it there would be weird black lines either side.
when the XBone version comes out that will also say 1080p in the back even though it runs at 720p ...
but...but..what about windows phones? would be pretty funny however as someone who owns a windows phone i would like to purchase and download stuff on the go

you can't put a bigger HDD IN the XBone you can only add external HDD which would be like having a second powerbrick dangling from your already massive console. also they are not as fast high performance external HDD will need their own power supply so its just one inconvenience after the other.
